In the adjacent office building.
"I'm looking for my uncle," Henry said, tilting his head back to look at a young police officer.
"Whose kid is this? Did he get lost and wander in here?"
Henry shook his head. "I'm not lost. I'm here to find my uncle."
"And who is your uncle?" A random toddler demanding his uncle could be anyone's problem.
Henry knew he hadn't made a mistake. His uncle worked right here. His godfather used to bring him here all the time to see Annie, and he often saw his uncle walking in and out of the nearby offices.
Henry scratched his head, trying to remember the man's name. "My daddy is Andre, my mommy is Mia, my aunt is Molly, my little brother is Wayne, and I'm..."
"Henry?!" Donnie shot up from his desk, staring at the little boy.
When Henry mentioned his aunt, Donnie wasn't entirely sure, but the moment he named his little brother, it clicked.
He walked over. Sure enough, it was the Cedillo heir.
Donnie stepped out of his cubicle. The young officer looked relieved. "Donnie, you know him?"
Donnie pointed at the toddler. "He's in the right place. His actual uncle works here. You'd never guess who it is."
The young officer shook his head, thoroughly confused. "It's Captain Chad."
"Wait, what?"
Donnie took Henry's hand. "Come on, Donnie will take you to your uncle."
Henry, completely unafraid, happily trotted along beside him.
Meanwhile, chaos had erupted in the courtyard as they frantically searched for the boy.
"Baby? Henry?" Mia yelled. "Where did that little brat go? I took my eyes off him for one second to talk. We couldn't have actually lost a kid inside a police station, right?"
Andre closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. He desperately needed a vacation at a monastery to find some inner peace.
