He had never said that.

Aslan would bet his life on it.

Aslan asked weakly, “What does voice mimicry have to do with graduating top of intelligence?”

Jonathan let out a light laugh. In the next second, he spoke using Aslan’s exact voice. “Voice changing and disguise are required courses in intelligence. The top ten in the class had advanced training. Back in the day, even His Majesty lost to me more than once.”

Hearing his own voice come out of Jonathan’s mouth, Aslan stared wide-eyed with terror. “Aren’t you afraid this will blow up? If Your Highness finds out, he will have no choice but to divorce.”

Jonathan switched voices again. In an instant, his tone and cadence became His Majesty’s. “That brat already hates the wife I picked for him and thinks about divorce every day. So what do I have to be afraid of?”

It sounded real.

Aslan forced out two hollow laughs. “You really have nothing to worry about, sir.”

“Of course not.” Jonathan smiled like a sly old fox and asked, “Tell me. If Your Highness hears His Majesty’s voice, will he think His Majesty cheated? Would that be legal?”

He couldn’t hold in his own laughter. This was too fun.

If not for certain limitations, he would camp next to Agares just to watch the expression on that always- composed face.

Aslan managed a stiff grin. “As long as you’re happy, sir. Go ahead and send the voice message.”

As if His Majesty would ever cheat.

No one would believe that.
