Veyric glanced down at the thin Smokewillow on his wrist. Trusting Sylvara completely, he said, “Alright, I’ll take off first. Remember to catch up, okay?”

Then he dashed away at full speed.

Sylvara stayed where she was, waved at Agares, and gave him a beaming, sun-bright smile. “Your Highness, it’s been three days, and you lost. My guy took you down.”

Agares bent down and picked up the contract and pen Sylvara had thrown on the ground. “Ms. Feywin, you’re playing dirty.”

Sylvara waggled her finger, eyes full of laughter and mischief. “This isn’t cheating. It’s called strategy. So, are you going to admit defeat or not?”
