Chapter 205 Reminders From the Strategy Department

Blake gave a wicked little grin, but his tone meaningful. He really is impressive. He took down Prince Agares, the one I’m most proud of. Honestly, the kid’s got real skill.”
Aslan felt the hair on his arms stand up from that smile. He instinctively pressed against the window of the jet, instantly on guard. “With His Highness out, is this military training still going to continue?”
continues. Why wouldn’t it? Even without Prince
Blake grinned like he’d just about seen it all. “Of course Agares, the princess consort is still here. We can’t show favoritism, can we?’
Aslan felt so small and pathetic, shivering as he asked nervously, “What are you planning? Don’t tell me you suspect Sylvara is the one who can cause His Highness to channel lightning?”
Blake’s eyes sparkled brilliantly, and he spoke in the most innocent voice while tossing the blame right at Aslan. “I’m not the one who suspects it. You’re the one who thinks so.”
Aslan saw the blame heading his way and quickly waved his hands in denial. “I didn’t! You’re making things up! Don’t put this on me!”
Blake shot back, “If you didn’t, what are you so afraid of”
Aslan was speechless.
Of course he was scared.
Blake was cunning, ruthless, and his sense of mischief was enough to shake the universe. No one dared mess with him.
And everything ran on Blake’s optical computer.
If Sylvara got exposed and His Highness blamed him…
Bam! It would all be his fault.
If he let Sylvara get hurt, his mentor would actually kill him.
Blake watched as Aslan’s face flip between blue and white, clearly enjoying himself. He cleared his throat, pressed his comms, and lowered his voice. “Attention all units, I have some unfortunate news. The Swarmborn crown prince has already been captured by Commander Vaelor. You all missed out on a golden opportunity for a promotion to major general.
“I must say, I’m so disappointed. The chance landed right in your laps, and no one took it. Clearly, you all prefer to climb the ranks one step at a time rather than leap ahead. I’m honestly a little touched by that spirit.”
Everyone who heard the broadcast cursed.
“Fuck!”
“What kind of misery is this?”
“It’s not like we didn’t want a quick promotion-our idol was just too fast. Nobody even knows what the Swarmborn crown prince looks like.”
Blake paused for effect, then continued. “While I’m feeling sentimental, here’s another thrilling update. Your

idol, Prince Agares, has also been taken out. Didn’t see that coming, did you?”
Finished
Everyone listening was still processing the news about their idol capturing the Swarmborn crown prince when this bombshell dropped.
It was shocking. And way too much.
They all started cursing again. “I just want to know who the hell took out my idol. Who’s that badass?!”
“Prince Agares captured the Swarmborn crown prince, and then someone took him out? Does that mean that person is even stronger?”
“So many hidden talents in a mere military training? Is this for real?”
Blake’s voice came through the comms, “The ones who took down your idol were a male-female pair, both first-year freshmen. All units, pay attention-if you’re lucky enough to take them down, you’ll get the recommendation letter from General Kenobia they’re holding.”
“The Strategy Department would like to remind everyone, you missed out on taking out the Swarmborn crown prince, you missed out on taking out the Commander, you better not let the ones who took out the Commander slip through your fingers.”
“Here’s another reminder from the Strategy Departmen: earlier, the instructors, seniors, and new students worked together for ten minutes. We will let that slide. All instructors, upperclassmen, and freshmen, move away from any dangerous people around you. Good luck earning more medals and epaulettes. And remember-take out that freshman duo with the General Kenobia letter!”
