Chapter 223 Loyalty Test

Veyric took a step back. He wasn’t clueless. If this blew up, the rest of the instructors would all become
witnesses.
His idol, Commander Vaclor, always followed the rules. He hated people who broke them or twisted them for their own gain.
If this ever reached either his idol or the emperor, it wouldn’t just be Callam Cohen cleaning house. His idol would step in himself. And if that happened, losing rank would be the least of their problems.
“If you’re not deleting that video, who are you planning to send it to?” Veyric asked, looking at Sylvara with big, pitiful eyes. “You’re not really going to post it on Starnet, right?”
She lifted her wrist and brought the optical computer back in front of her. She tapped the screen calmly. You can warn the Roseblade Legion now. I’ve set this video to auto-send in fifteen minutes to General Kenobia, he’s the one running this military training anyway.”
Veyric suddenly felt dizzy. If General Kenobia heard about this, then his idol would hear it too.
And if his idol found out? With how strict he was, they were doomed.
“Sylvie, maybe we can talk about this.”
“No. We’re done here.” She cut him off without hesitation. She already knew what he wanted to say. “You need to trust that General Kenobia will consider the fact that you took down Commander Vaelor. She won’t expose everything to the public. I want you to warn the Roseblade Legion so they’ll go to General Kenobia on their own and admit their mistake first.”
Admitting fault early would actually give them an advantage.
Blake was his idol’s mentor. His reputation wasn’t as rigid and unforgiving as Agares, which meant he gave people more room to fix things.
Veyric gritted his teeth. “Okay. I trust you. Send me a copy of the video. I’ll warn them now.”
He looked simple-like a clueless, honest kid.
But when things got serious, Veyric wasn’t slow at all. He saw the big picture, thought fast, and made the right call. His family had to be top-tier in Centria planet either first-class or second-class nobles.
And if Callam was his direct relative, then his family was absolutely first-class noble.
Sylvara forwarded him the video. Then she set the time. In fifteen minutes, the video would be sent straight to Blake.
After all that chaos, Sylvara didn’t bother chasing after Veyric, who had run off to warn the Roseblade Legion. Instead, she turned toward the instructors lying on the ground. “Everyone,” she said calmly, “your colleague broke the rules. So be smart about it. Hand over all your gear from this training, and I won’t lay a hand on you.”
She didn’t lower her voice. These instructors heard every word. And they knew the truth now; these two knew Blake. They were also the ones who defeated the commander and had connections to the Roseblade Legion’s top ranks.
Plus, Brigan broke the rule first. The instructors exchanted a look. Then, like people who understood the

situation perfectly. One by one, they brought out every piece of equipment from this military training session-used or unused.
Sylvara picked out what she wanted and stored it in her spatial button. Then she pointed toward the destroyed tents and said casually, “Go rebuild your tents And remember, play dead and behave yourselves. Otherwise, you’ll end up just like your colleague.”
All 34 instructors shivered. She hadn’t even done anything, but somehow she terrified them anyway.
They jumped to their feet, grabbed the tent poles, and shed off to work.
Sylvara switched to another comm device, clipped it onto her ear, then grabbed a fresh instructor uniform and stepped aside to change.
When she came back, the instructors had already rebuil a large, spacious tent.
She walked straight inside and politely thanked them. She claimed it for herself, kicking out all thirty-four instructors like it was the most natural thing in the world.
By the time Veyric returned from delivering the message, he found Sylvara lying on a hammock woven from green vines, gently swaying back and forth, fast asleep.
Veyric tiptoed even closer, rubbing his hands like he was warming up to share a secret. “Sylvie, General Cohen asked me to thank you!”
Sylvara didn’t even turn around. She curled up with her back to him and muttered, “It’s fine. You’ve been running all day. Get some sleep and save your strength.
Hearing that, Veyric suddenly felt unsure. “Aren’t you gonna ask how I know General Cohen?”
