“It’s never going to happen! I’m never dumping him in his lifetime!” Sylvara laughed. “All right, let’s start cooking. First up, spiced campfire eggs.”
Sylvara dragged over a big bucket filled with about 50 cgs. She set it under the faucet and washed each one until it was clean. Then she carried them to the fire pit and set a cast-iron pan over the coals. Facing the livestream, she said, “Rinse the eggs first. Then place them, still in their shells, right on a bed of warm ash or hot coals. Let the heat bake them until they’re firm.” She tapped the edge of the pan and added, “While the eggs cook, mix melted butter with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and a little thyme. When the eggs are done, peel them and brush the warm spice butter all over. That’s how you make real spiced campfire eggs.”
Sylvara glanced at the pot behind her and nodded. “Now that the eggs are taken care of, let’s move on to our bacon-and-egg custard.” She grabbed the slab of bacon he had cured along with her smoked meats. She rinsed it, set it on the cutting board, and picked up a knife. “Cut the bacon into small pieces, and set it aside for later. You can make this custard with duck eggs, chicken eggs, or even goose eggs. Today, we’re using duck eggs.”
She lifted a stack of glass meal-prep boxes. “Since all of this is for takeout, I’m packing them directly into these. Once they’re steamed, I can pop the lids on and they’re ready to go.”
Sylvara filled 50 boxes, spreading a thin layer of bacon across the bottom of each one. She cracked two duck eggs into every box.
Then she picked up a fork, whisked the eggs, poured in hot water, and mixed until everything looked smooth. After that, she set each box into a large steamer tray. “Steam the custard for eight minutes,” she explained. “Turn off the heat and let it sit for three more minutes. And that’s all there is to it.”
She set the timer.
The spiced campfire eggs were ready.
The aroma drifted through the livestream.
People who had been doubting how many ways eggs could be cooked suddenly inhaled loudly through the hologram feature. [Wow, that smells amazing. Now I want eggs.]
[Hey, chef, are you selling them? I’ll pay 200 stellar coin!]
[I’ll pay 500 for just one!]
“Spiced campfire eggs aren’t for sale,” Sylvara said with a bright smile. “If you want some, you can make them at home. They’re simple, and you won’t break the bank doing it.”
Then she moved on and worked on Ranch-Infused Cowboy Eggs. She tapped each egg with the ladle, cracking the shells in thin lines. She told the livestream, Just crack them so the ranch seasoning can sneak
in.”
She sprinkled ranch powder and a little dried parsley into the pot, then set the lid back on.
“Keep the heat low and let the eggs rest for a few minutes. The steam will pull the seasoning through the cracks and flavor the eggs from the inside out.”
Then she heated a pan with oil again. Since she had already used the chicken and duck eggs, she switched to frying goose eggs sunny-side up instead. After cooking O goose eggs, her hands were aching.

She used the crow eggs to make a classic omelet, scrambled wyvern eggs with sautéed mushrooms, simmered smoked ham, and sautéed smoked bacon with asparagus.
Every type of egg, every dish-she cooked huge portions of all of them. The dining table and the kitchen counter were completely covered.
The smell of food filled the entire livestream.
In the livestream, Starnet users were sending gifts like crazy. All they wanted was a chance to taste her hot, fresh dishes.
Sylvara had just stopped cooking and was about to start orting and packing the meals when the chat suddenly filled with usernames starting with Mrs. Vaelo
One glance, and she knew. Those were all her bargain-bin husband’s soldiers-acting pitiful just to score a free meal.
Sylvara was about to say hello when a very unwelcome voice cut in. “Sylvara, why didn’t you call me when dinner was done?”
Her heart sank. She shut the livestream instantly and turned to see Aslan strolling in like he owned the place. “I locked the door. How did you get in?” Sylvara asked.
Aslan dangled a key between his fingers. His pretty, almost feminine face broke into an annoying smile. “Oh, I forgot to tell you. Even in this high-tech age, electronic door locks can lose power and break.
“So every dorm still comes with a physical key. And I am in charge of those keys. Surprise? Shocked?”
Surprise his foot.
Did she even have privacy anymore?
Absolutely none!
“My lock isn’t broken. You can leave now,” Sylvara said, shooing him away like a fly.
The smell of her cooking filled the whole room. Even she was hungry from the scent alone.
Leave?
Aslan would rather drop dead.
“Sylvara, I need to settle something with you!” he said, stepping closer to the dining table. “Veyric came over and gave me a big box of candy that tasted like pop. Was that your idea?”
