The delivery robot finally came back. Sylvara placed the meal she packed for Malcolm into the robot’s storage compartment.
Then she packed three more meals. She posted them of Starnet and tagged three people under her account as a surprise giveaway.
The three followers froze when they received the message. They never thought a bigshot like her would draw winners from the comment section, not from the livestream.
After recovering from the shock, they rushed to send her their mailing addresses.
Sylvara wrote down the addresses, stuck them onto the unchboxes, and handed them to the robot. The rest of the food was only enough for her.
She stared at the small amount of food left and remembered how she hadn’t finished eavesdropping on Blake. A playful thought rose in her chest. She snapped photo of the dishes on the table. Then she cleared her throat and spoke softly, sounding sweet and a little wronged. “Honey, did your food arrive yet? After I finish this meal, my uncle is taking me to Centria Plane
“I don’t know why he suddenly showed up to drag me away, but he said it’s really important. Uncle Kyre said I have to go. Honey, I’m scared. Could you video-call General Kenobia and ask him to pick me up at Centria Planet? Just in case?”
Teleportation for food happened instantly.
The person receiving the package also knew it was meant for their commander. So once they got the boxes, they rushed straight to deliver them.
Agares had just picked up one large box and one small box when his wrist optical computer buzzed.
He glanced down. It was a message from his little wife. He ignored the boxes completely and opened the message. There was a photo of food-dishes he had never seen before-and a voice message.
His fingers tensed. His little wife really was as clingy as people said.
She had already called him twice today, and now she was sending voice messages.
Agares swallowed, letting out a warm breath, then pressed play.
Her soft, sweet, slightly whiny voice came through the optical computer.
When he finished listening, he paused for a moment, then replied with a voice message. “He is taking you without your primary guardian’s permission. This is against the law.
“But you said he has something important to do and that you can’t refuse. That means you already have something in mind. Reaching out to my mentor is a smart idea.
“I’ll call him now. I’ll ask him to meet you at Centria Planet’s space station. Don’t worry. Nothing will happen to you.”
Sylvara heard her bargain-bin husband’s reply, and her yes lit up. She hurried to send another message. “Honey, when you video-call him, remember to record. And if he refuses video and only does audio, then record the audio! Don’t ask why. Just record it. Then send it to me.”

Agares read the message, and his brows tightened. From her words, he sensed a hint of… a sliver of…

For a moment, he couldn’t find the right word. Then he glanced at his soldiers running laps with heavy weights. Some of them kept sneaking looks at him, boldly whispering among themselves.
Then he realized the word.
Gossip.
Yes-gossip!
His little wife was gossiping.
She was excited and absolutely thrilled to gossip about lake!
Blake’s health had been poor for years. He hadn’t left Centria in ages. So why had he shown up at the joint training exercise of the Five Military Academies?
And what kind of secret could he possibly be carrying that made Sylvara tremble with excitement?
“I’ll try,” Agares replied in a short voice message.
Sylvara heard those three simple words and jumped into the air with excitement.
See? I knew it.
Her bargain-bin husband’s brainpower might be sky-high, but his emotional IQ was buried somewhere deep underground.
