Chapter 254 Hit the Jackpot
Sylvara grinned. “I don’t know. Have fun searching! I’m oing to find a hotel. I’m exhausted.”
She turned to leave, but Blake called out, “Wait a second!
Blake reached out and grabbed the hood of her trench coat.
Sylvara was yanked backward, and right then she saw Eggy drop from the air like a missile and slam straight into Blake.
The healthy glow on Blake’s face instantly vanished. She turned pale, the “refreshed” look in her eyes died out, and her body went limp like a withered flower. She collapsed toward Sylvara.
Seeing Blake suddenly get wrecked, Sylvara didn’t dodge. She reached out to catch her and said to Eggy, “That’s my champ! Good job! I’ll get you extra chicken later.”
Eggy puffed up from the praise and stuck to Blake even harder, acting like it wanted to drain Blake’s mental energy dry, begging for more compliments.
Blake’s weak body brushed against Sylvara’s hand, and she immediately clung onto her. Her paper-white face slowly started getting color again.
Sylvara wobbled but held her ground, grinding her teeth. “Blake! I know I can be a brat sometimes, but you are a straight-up bastard. Your egg devours your mental energy and physical power, so you just devour mine? Is that how this works?!”
Blake’s long lashes fluttered, and a sneaky glint returned to her violet eyes. She shot back, “How is this my fault? You’re the one who brought it out. What’s it got to do with me?”
Sylvara snapped, “So it’s not the baby you gave birth to anymore?!”
Blake didn’t even blink. She just doubled down on her ridiculous logic. “Raising a child is more important than giving birth. You’re raising it, so you take full responsibility!”
She had seen people twist logic before.
But this was next level.
She had been with the egg for, what, a few hours? And now she was responsible for everything?
Sylvara raised her hand and waved it next to Blake’s annoyingly pretty face. “Blake, don’t think I won’t slap you.”
Blake didn’t back down. She smirked. “Oh, you would-If you could reach. I’ll even stand still. Go on, try it.”
Sylvara stared at her, speechless.
She’d always felt she didn’t fit into this interstellar society.
Now, she realized she was just thinking too small.
Look at Blake-now that’s someone with a “big picture” mindset.
A true master of being sneaky, shameless, and untrustworthy.

“You win,” Sylvara said, then called to Eggy, still rubbing against Blake. “Eggling, come here. I’ll give you a big kiss.”
The second Eggy heard “big kiss,” it zoomed straight int Sylvara’s arms, snuggling hard and transferring the mental energy it just drained.
Sylvara instantly felt better.
Her motherly heart practically bloomed like a flower.
This little rascal egg was worth loving after all.
It was actually a good kid. Totally different from its backstabbing, rotten mom.
Blake, who was still sucking Sylvara’s mental energy, noticed it and looked surprised. “It knows how to give back?”
Yeah.
She was being recharged.
Sylvara blinked and said, “I don’t think that’s called giving back. It’s more like healing. It saw you draining my mental energy and healed me!”
What kind of magical egg is this?
Oh my god!
Oh my god!!!
Sylvara felt like she had hit the jackpot.
Her powers were always messy, and since the apocalypse, she had never met anyone with higher mental energy than her. No one had ever been able to sort her mental energy for her.
But now Eggy was giving her mental energy and even sorting it out.
With that little sorting, her mental energy became even more massive and stable.
Even if Blake drained some of it, it was basically nothing to her.
Blake pulled her hands back. Although she didn’t look as good as before, she wasn’t that bad either. “Let me
see.”
Sylvara lifted Eggy out of her arms, kissed the hard black eggshell loudly, then she held it out to Blake,
Blake reached out to take it.
But Eggy ignored her. It flipped right out of Sylvara’s pm, slid down the inside of her coat, and stopped on her lower stomach, refusing to move.
Sylvara froze for a second, then pointed at her stomach and gave Blake a smug, triumphant grin. “You said
