Chapter 259 A Sweetheart, Indeed

Finished

Eggy, who had been stuck to Relos’s chest like glue, was how rolling around in his palm-wobbling, tilting, and striking all kinds of shamelessly fawning poses that were frankly embarrassing to watch.

“Your Majesty, you should let me check you out. Genera Kenobia paid for it. If you don’t, it’s a waste!” Sylvara stood on her tiptoes, reached up, and clasped his shoulder.

Relos tried to dodge, but the hand on his shoulder felt like it weighed a ton. He couldn’t budge.

Then a gentle wave of mental energy flowed from Sylvara’s hand into his body, spreading through his whole system. The high fever disappeared instantly.

His face started looking healthy again right before her eyes. Even the red streaks in his eyes vanished, leaving them looking dark and clear.

A moment later, Sylvara pulled her hand back and looked at the Emperor’s eyes. The second she saw his slightly misty eyes, her inner fangirl heart exploded.

It was like a firework show going off in her head.

She decided being a human tool wasn’t so bad after all.

These two royal brothers were just too handsome.

“You’re…” Relos stared at Sylvara, unsure. “The new Level-7 Plant Healer?”

Sylvara gave him a sunny smile, showing off eight teeth. “It doesn’t matter if I’m a Level-7 Plant Healer or not. What matters is that I have something to give you.”

Relos looked at her smile and suddenly remembered what Blake had told him. Blake said that Agares’s wife was a sneaky, mischievous, cunning fox, but her smile was so sweet and sunny. She was completely different from Agares, but somehow a perfect match.

“What is it?” Relos asked, following Sylvara’s words. He was surprised to discover his voice wasn’t hoarse anymore. So this tiny, cute girl was not only a Level-7 Plant Healer, but probably Agares’s wife, too.

Sylvara grinned like a cunning little fox and pulled out a huge, yellow, prickly durian from her spatial button. She handed it to him. “Your Majesty, this is for you.”

Relos held Eggy in one arm and took the durian by its stem with the other. While checking Sylvara out without showing it, he lifted the big yellow spiky fruit. “From what I know, this thing smells terrible once it cracks open. Why are you giving it to me?”

Sylvara stepped to the side so the Emperor and Blake were facing each other.

Blake saw Relos looking healthier and let out a breath of relief, even though he was still pale.

Sylvara looked back and forth between them. She pointed at the durian and turned into a “science expert,” trying to trick the Emperor with a straight face. “Your Majesty, this fruit is called a durian. Some call it a golden pillow. Even though the yellow fruit inside looks like poop, and smells just as bad…

“But its real purpose is beyond your imagination. If you don’t believe me, put it on the ground and have General Kenobia stand on it. You’ll see results instantly.”

Blake’s violet eyes went dark as she warned Relos, “Your Majesty, when the fox tricks the crow into singing,

every word out of its mouth is a lie.”

So he was calling her the fox who lies to trick the crow?

And also calling the Emperor the crow?

One line, two insults?

Sylvara’s eyes darted around as she put on her best innocent face. She took Blake’s words and twisted them to stir the pot. “General Kenobia, are you saying I’m the fox trying to trick His Majesty, and His Majesty is the crow? Wow, are you calling His Majesty an animal?”

Blake was speechless.

When did she ever call His Majesty a crow?!
