“Okay, Relos!” Sylvara answered him with a bright, loud voice.

She glanced at Blake-still standing on the durian with a dark, grumpy expression-stuck out her tongue, made a silly face at her. Then, she flicked her pinky down to mock her before quickly catching up to Relos.

Relos walked a few steps, then suddenly stopped.

Sylvara almost bumped into his back. She quickly halted and stood to the side.

Before she could ask why he stopped, she saw the emperor take out a livestream orb.

He tapped a few settings, and the orb flew out of his hand, flew over to Blake, circling her like a hawk.

Blake, still standing on the durian, stared at the emperor with her violet eyes-like a loyal dog that had been abandoned. Her face was a total mask of misery.

Sylvara was delighted. She couldn’t hold back her curiosity. “Your Majesty, what’s that for?”

Relos smirked at Blake. His voice was just loud enough to echo through the palace, “To stop that old man-who told you to call him daddy-from slacking off when no one’s watching. It’s a surveillance livestream.”

Sylvara’s eyes

lit up. “A livestream? You’re gonna stream it on Starnet?”

Was the emperor really going that far?

That intense?

Letting the whole Troya Empire know this bastard was standing on durian?

Relos turned back around and explained as they walked out, “No, it’s a private feed. It only goes to my personal watch.”

In other words, that bastard, who always looked for loopholes, wouldn’t dare skip even one second of her punishment now.

Genius!

His Majesty was on another level.

After seeing how easily he handled two of the empire’s top figures, Sylvara knew she had to cling to him for support.

And step one in winning over someone that powerful? Win over his stomach.

Sylvara volunteered to cook for Relos herself.

Relos was already certain she was Agares’s wife.

The SylvaraCorpse who livestreamed online without showing her face? Also her.

Great cooking skills, and her food could even heal mental energy.

The Emperor had no reason to say no. He led her to the massive royal kitchen and gave all the chefs the day off.

It was just Relos and Sylvara in the huge kitchen.

Sylvara checked the ingredients. No surprise-it was the palace kitchen. Meat, veggies, everything you’d normally find on Starnet Mall, all stocked.

She took off her coat, rolled up her shirt sleeves, tucked the hem of her shirt into her shorts, washed her hands, and turned around. “Relos, what do you like to eat?”

“Anything’s fine. I’m not picky. Easy to feed!” Relos raised the egg in his hand. “This is the wyvern egg General Kenobia gave you?”

Eggy wobbled in his hand. It was not a wyvern egg!

“No idea what egg it is,” Sylvara said. She loved messing with Blake, but she wasn’t going to expose her. Blake didn’t want Relos knowing she laid that egg, so she made something up with half-truths. “I beat him during military training. This was my reward. He said if I hatch it, I can summon a divine beast.”

“Summon a divine beast?” Relos looked straight at Eggy. “The life form inside seems very active and intelligent. Kind of like a bird-type beastkin. That fits the idea of a divine beast.”

“Like a person with wings?” Sylvara had never seen beastkin before, so she could only imagine bird-type beastkin as winged people, like angels from ancient Earth myths.

Eggy shook harder and harder in Relos’s hand, trying to stop him from saying anything about bird-people or poultry.

Relos didn’t get Eggy’s hint. He grabbed a fancy bowl, flipped it over to trap Eggy underneath, then pressed both hands on the bottom of the bowl. “Bird-type beastkin includes eagles, hawks, peacocks, swans, and Winged Serpents.”

“Winged Serpents?” Sylvara pulled a bunch of grapes from her spatial button, washed them, and set them in front of Relos. “Like a serpent with wings?”
