Sylvara “stabbed” from the left.
The Emperor “stabbed” from the right.
Every “stab” went straight through Blake’s heart.

Blake had been tiptoeing on the durian, careful not to put real weight on it. Then her footing slipped. Suddenly, all her weight pressed down on the durian.
The spikes stabbed straight into the sole of her foot, and a wave of pain shot all the way up her whole body.
Sylvara saw every twitch of pain on Blake’s face. She was screaming internally.
The bastard finally got what was coming to her!
That’s what she gets for being so smug and arrogant.
So satisfying!
Relos leaned in slightly, tilting his head up a little. He looked at Blake with those misty, innocent eyes and asked, “General Kenobia, why so worked up? Did I say something wrong?”
The cunning old fox lowered her eyes and looked at the emperor staring up at her. “How could you ever be wrong, Your Majesty? It’s always someone else’s fault.”
Sylvara, who was nearby watching the drama, instantly felt like she was insulting her under her breath.
Just as she was about to start more trouble, Blake glanced sideways and gave her a cold stare. “Yes, I’m talking about you.”
She was basically playing the villain’s game better than the villain.
That’s the High General for you.
Sylvara, who had just been roasted, pouted, turned to Relos. She looked at him with puppy eyes and said in her sweetest voice, “Relos, look at this mean old man. He’s always bullying me!”
The mean old man, Blake, was at a loss for words.
A quick flash of amusement crossed Relos’s eyes, but he kept a straight face and nodded. “Yeah, he is a mean old man. Let’s ignore him. Are you hungry? I’ll take you to get something to eat.”

Sylvara’s eyes lit up. She straightened up, tossing Blake under the bus without hesitation. “I’m starving. General Kenobia won’t even give me food.”
Cling to Relos.
Monopolize all his time.
Make that bastard furious.
Relos straightened up. Looking down at Blake, who was still standing on the durian, he said meaningfully, “He didn’t give you food? He’s that bad, huh?”
Sylvara acted even more pitifully. She leaned toward the Emperor and let out a tiny, sad whimpering sound. “He’s the worst. He even makes me call him ‘daddy’!”
Blake’s violet eyes snapped wide. “Sylvara, you—”
“He made you call him daddy?” Relos raised his voice just enough to drown Blake out. He looked at Sylvara. “Is that true?”
Sylvara remembered how angry Relos got when someone called Blake that over the optical computer.
She decided to stir the pot even more. “Yes, Relos! He makes me call him daddy, and he even said he has a beautiful mommy hidden at his house!”
“A beautiful mommy, too?” Relos’s calm voice rose sharply. Suddenly, he reached out and patted Blake on the shoulder twice. Then, he kept his hand there and pushed down. “I had no idea General Kenobia was hiding a secret lover at home. Thanks for the heads-up, Sylvie.”
Blake had only just managed to shift her weight onto her toes, easing her soles from the spike- pain. Then Relos pressed down on her shoulder, and all her weight was back onto the soles. They stabbed into her sole, pain shooting straight up her leg.
Sylvara was thrilled that she’d successfully pranked Blake. Watching Relos keep his hand on Blake’s shoulder, she screamed internally, His Majesty is so cute!
He’s like the best big brother ever!
Agares is his younger brother, right? Right?
How did Agares not inherit even half this charm?
“Your Majesty, don’t listen to her nonsense. This little fox is sneaky-”
“How could Sylvie have bad intentions? She’s just telling me things I didn’t know!” Relos cut her off calmly. He added, “Besides, if you didn’t tell her to call you daddy or mention a hidden
