Agares was ready to team up with the Empress to kick his brother off the throne!

And he even sent his brother to the breeding center!

Agares’s brain is built differently. His logic was so pure and simple that normal people couldn’t comprehend it.

Pure and simple, my foot!

Sylvara cursed internally.

Blake was such a flirt!

She flirted like it was her full-time job, tossing out sweet lines like free samples. So what did he mix into Agares during training to make him so straight you couldn’t bend him?

Relos took a deep breath. “Agares, actually, she is―”

“I don’t need to know who she is!” Agares interrupted again. “I’m not going after her. I’ve already screen-recorded our video call. You are in the palace kitchen.

“Your boldness in breaking the law is shocking, Your Majesty. I’ll notify the Empress. I hope you don’t give her a reason to remove you. Goodbye.”

“Agares—”

Relos tried to stop him, but Agares hung up too fast.

“Hahaha!” Sylvara burst out laughing the second he hung up.

She hit the counter with her hand, laughing so hard she nearly toppled over.

Meanwhile, the “cheating” Emperor, face dark as thunder, immediately called Blake on video.

Blake was standing on a durian and trying his best to write a super long report about the uses of durian.

When she saw the Emperor’s incoming call, her violet eyes lit up with joy. She answered, only to hear Sylvara laughing in the background. She quickly said, “Your Majesty, see? I told you that little fox was up to no good!”

The Emperor roared, “Blake! I really underestimated you. My brother was perfectly fine before! Look what you’ve turned him into!

“I told you not to take him on to fight bandits! But you insisted. You said a real man needs to see blood early!”

Blake was confused and started babbling excuses, “We only spent a few days raiding bandits. We both agreed on that! What happened? Did that sly little fox trick you?”

The Emperor’s temper ignited. “Shut up. Are you saying I’m wrong to accuse you of bringing him along on that raid?”

Blake’s violet eyes narrowed. His voice went weak. “No, Your Majesty is not wrong. It was my idea. I insisted on taking him. It was all my fault. Please forgive me.”

If they weren’t separated by a screen, the Emperor would’ve already kicked him or slapped him by now. “Blake! You stay there! Keep standing until-”

Blake’s optical computer flashed again. He looked down and softly interrupted, “Agares is calling. One moment, let me take this, and I’ll call you right back.”

The Emperor snapped, “Don’t call me back! Just stay there and reflect on your life. Don’t even think about going to your room to sleep tonight!”

Sylvara laughed until her stomach hurt and tears were streaming down her face. She wiped her eyes and said to Relos, who had just cut the optical-computer connection,

“Just throw your brother out. Keeping him just pisses you off.”

All that serious talk about the Marriage Act and the Penal Code.

He was the perfect example of “so annoying he could kill someone.”

He didn’t even give the Emperor a chance to talk.

Relos puffed up angrily, one hand on his hip and the other waving dismissively.

“Throw him out! Whoever wants him can have him. I don’t want him anymore.”

Teach me the Marriage Act?

Penal Code?

I can read! I’m the one who taught him how to read in the first place!

Blake!

It had to be that sneaky, devious bastard teaching him weird things behind

That’s the only way Agares ended up like this.
