For 200 years, no babies have been born naturally,” Sylvara said gently. “But maybe in the near future, women and men with high fertility value at the breeding centers will be able to have more than one naturally born baby.”

Her words lifted the mood at once.

The quiet livestream suddenly came back to life.

[She’s right,] one top viewer said. [People need dreams. Just like that joint training between the five military academies. Didn’t a freshman take down a Commander? That’s proof anything can happen.]

[Yeah,] another chimed in. [I heard the Operations Chief of that joint training was General Kenobia, who’s been recovering on Centria Planet. A freshman even beat him too.]

[Look at that,] someone added. [Two rookies beat a General and Prince Agares’s mentor. Who would’ve believed that before?]

[Never once crossed my mind,] another replied. [So maybe soon, our Empire will have naturally born babies. Cute, soft, healthy babies. No genetic illness. No mental energy collapse.]

The Starnet users were obsessed with the idea of having natural-born babies. It sent a chill down Sylvara’s spine.

She was suddenly very glad she had chosen a handsome, long-legged, powerful bargain-bin husband with a fertility value of zero.

That meant no accidents. No worries. They could do whatever they wanted, freely and happily, on the bed. Life would be all rainbows and

peace.

“It will happen,” Sylvara said with confidence, playing along with the viewers. Then she smoothly changed the topic. “Next, we’re making durian crepe, durian puffs, durian cake, and durian custard.”

She moved fast and with ease. She laid out flour, butter, eggs, cream, sugar, and milk.

She cracked the eggs into a bowl and whisked them smooth. She added sugar, then milk. She sifted in the flour bit by bit and mixed well. Then she poured in melted butter and stirred until smooth. She strained the batter once more and let it rest for 15 minutes.

While waiting, she mashed the durian into a paste. She whipped cream with egg whites and set

it aside.

Next, she poured the batter into a small nonstick pan. She tilted the pan to spread it thin and

She stacked them neatly. Three layers of cream. One layer of durian. Again and again. Soon, the durian mille crepe was done.

She then used the oven to make durian puffs, durian cake, and durian custard. By the time everything was plated and served, more than three hours had passed.

Durian-Shell Chicken and Durian Chicken Stew were brought to the table as well.

The same Starnet users who had been complaining durian was poops carlier were now staring

at the feast.

They swallowed hard, eyes wide, begging for just one bite.

When Sylvara saw Relos seated properly, she turned to the camera. “That’s all for today’s stream. I’m going to eat with my brother now. Goodbye, everyone.”

She ended the stream decisively, ignoring the desperate cries from the hungry viewers.

Relos casually took a photo with his optical computer and sent it out.

Sylvara was standing there when she casually caught a glimpse of Relos sending a set of finished photos. The recipient name on the message screen was Empress.

Holy crap! Was that her bargain-bin dad in women’s clothes?

She wanted to see that.

Sylvara’s eyes lit up. She braced her hands on the table and spoke sweetly, behaving like a well- mannered kid. “Your Majesty, I’ve never met my sister-in-law before,” she said. “I’ve heard she’s a great beauty and prettier than my bargain-bin dad.

“Could you ask her to come over?” Sylvara continued eagerly. “I’ll treat her to durian stew and durian crepes. She can also get to know me. Can you do that for me, please?”

Relos’s expression tightened. His left hand closed over the optical computer on his right wrist. “You want to meet the Empress?” he asked.

Sylvara started toying with her fingers, completely relaxed as she dragged Blake into it without guilt. “Your Majesty, you have no idea,” she said seriously. “That man being punished to stand on durian made me call him Dad. During military training, he told me he had a sister. He said she was very beautiful.”

Sylvara went on. “So I thought, I’m already in the palace anyway. It doesn’t make a difference for two or three people to dine together. Could we invite her to join us?”
