Was Blake some kind of impossible being? Had her soul crossed over too, an ancient Earth soul reborn into a creature this unreal?
“This gown?” Blair raised an eyebrow and slowly turned in a circle. The light, flowing skirt lifted gently, making her look graceful and bright. “It’s a woven silk gown from the merfolk. They brought it as a gift when they visited the empire last year. It keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. If Princess Consort Sylvara likes it, I can send people to the merfolk and buy a few more.”
So, she doesn’t reincarnate in another body.
Just a merfolk specialty?
Alright.
She could only laugh at herself for overreacting. She hadn’t seen much of the world, after all.
She had thought she’d met someone from the same world. Turns out it was a false alarm.
“We should drop the formality, Blair. Just call me Sylvara,” Sylvara said brightly. She bounced with happiness like a little bird and reached out to pull the cool, elegant woman beside her— who looked perfectly at ease and completely natural.
That stunning face. That waist. Those violet eyes. No wonder she had hidden her identity so well. The disguise had been flawless.
“Blair can sit with me,” Relos said calmly. He moved faster than Sylvara, placing a hand on Blair’s shoulder and gently pressing her into a chair. Then he sat down between them, clearly not allowing Blair and Sylvara to sit together.
Sylvara froze for a second. Relos’s gesture was protecting Blake’s disguise. He was afraid Sylvara might notice something if she sat too close.
True love.
Absolute, undeniable true love.
“Alright!” Sylvara replied cheerfully. She picked up a plate and served Blair a portion of Durian Shell Chicken. Her smile was pure and harmless. “Blair, have more. This is really good for you.”
The dish had just been placed in front of Blair when Sylvara suddenly felt a sharp pain on the top of her foot.
“Thank you, Sylvara. It looks delicious,” Blair said warmly. She reached out, turned the plate

slightly, and placed it in front of Relos instead. A blaze passed through her violet eyes. “But I prefer the stew. Relos, you should have more of this.
Relos frowned slightly.
He remembered exactly what Durian Shell Chicken was known for. His watery, innocent- looking eyes shifted, and he shot Blair with a warning glare.
Blair ignored it completely. After setting the plate down, she served herself some stew.
As she stood up, she pressed her foot down hard on Sylvara’s foot again before finally lifting it.
This bastard had terrifying strength in her legs.
Sylvara nearly flipped the table from the pain.
“All of the Durian Shell Chicken is yours,” Sylvara said through the pain, forcing a bright smile. “Blair, have more Durian Stew. It’s great for nourishing the body and boosting energy for
women!”
Blair nodded with satisfaction and smiled. “I will eat more. I won’t let you down.”
Relos stared at the dish in front of him for a long time before finally picking up his spoon and sipping the soup with careful elegance.
Just like that, the meal continued.
Only now did Sylvara truly understand what it meant to be a third wheel.
Not just any third wheel, but one as bright as the sun. That third wheel was her.
Blair acted openly and without shame. She wiped Relos’s mouth for him. She fed him bite by bite.
At first, Relos felt a little awkward. He reminded her more than once that Sylvara was still there.
But Blair had her own twisted logic. “Your Majesty,” she said calmly, “people always say the eldest sibling is like a parent. You practically raised Agares yourself, so you’re even closer than
most.
“As the head of the family, you need to set an example. You should let Sylvara feel what family love looks like. That way, without even realizing it, she’ll love Agares even more in the future.”
Without even realizing it?
Yeah, right. My foot! There’s nothing subtle about this.

She had clearly spotted a single person and tried showing off their affection as hard as she could.
And somehow, Relos was convinced by her nonsense.
They enjoyed their meal together, laughing and chatting.
