Winson lifted his chin and said proudly, “I know every big shot on Centria Planet. Just say the name; one call from me and I can have him here.
“I really want to see who it is,” he sneered, “who turned you from a simp that lusts after my son into a bitch that dares to bite.”
One call and he can get anybody to show up?
He wasn’t just full of himself.
He was floating so high he couldn’t even see the ground anymore.
“You calling me a simp is an insult,” Sylvara said calmly. “An insult is a crime. I can sue you for that.” She raised the banner of the law without hesitation. Sylvara tapped open her device and searched quickly. “And according to Imperial Law, Article 216,” she added, glancing up at him, “stealing someone else’s invention, slapping your name on it, and claiming it as private property is patent fraud. That means prison time and compensation. Are you ready for that?”
“Patent fraud?” Winson burst out laughing. “Everything in my restaurant belongs to me. You say I stole your patent? Who do you think you are? What patent do you even have?”
He sneered again, his eyes full of contempt. “Running your mouth like that, little girl. Did you forget to look in a mirror? You marry into a family with a little money and suddenly think your rule the world? Bah!”
The moment the word left his mouth, before Sylvara could make a move, a loud bang was
heard.
Bang!
The invisible Eggy on her shoulder shot forward in a blur and slammed straight into Winson’s forehead.
“What was that?!” Winson shouted.
He hadn’t seen a thing. He only felt sharp pain. When he touched his head, a huge lump had already risen. He pointed at Sylvara and accused, “You attacked me!”
Sylvara casually pointed around the restaurant. “You’re blind? That’s fine. Your place is covered in security cameras. Pull the footage.
“Me attack you?” She laughed lightly. “Who do you think you are? Some big deal worth my
effort?”

“If not you, then who?” Winson spun around and glared at his nephew. “Saphron, you traitor. I’ve treated you and your mother well, and this is how you repay me? Helping an outsider hit me? Your mother’s spot at Central Gene Hospital is gone,” he snapped coldly.
“Just wait. When her mental energy goes wild and her genes collapse, she’ll die in pain.”
“I didn’t-” Saphron started.
“Since you’ve already said all that,” Sylvara cut in calmly, “if I don’t hit you, it would feel wrong.” She reached out, grabbed the nearest bottle from the table beside her, and swung it straight at Winson’s head.
Bang!
She didn’t use any mental energy at all. Sylvara relied only on the strength of her wrist and the sharp edge of the bottle. The bottle smashed straight into Winson’s forehead, splitting the skin
open.
“Ms. Feywin!” Saphron jumped in shock. This was bad. Very bad. Winson was famous for being petty and vengeful. After taking a hit like that, there was no way he would let it go.
His family had money and power. Unless Feywin could really bring the healer to protect herself, she stood no chance against him.
“It’s fine,” Sylvara said calmly. She was still holding a sharp shard of broken glass. “If you’re scared, walk forward. Go to the very back, by the window. That should be where the person who invited you today is sitting. You can talk to him first.”
Saphron wasn’t thinking about chatting with anyone. If it were just him, he could lower himself and beg for mercy. His uncle humiliating him was nothing new.
But dragging Feywin into this was not what he wanted.
He hurriedly stepped in front of Sylvara and pleaded in a low voice, “Uncle Winson, this is my fault. Please be the bigger person. You—”
“Saphron.” Sylvara’s voice dropped. She shoved him firmly in the back, pushing him two steps forward. “You did nothing wrong. I did nothing wrong. The one who’s wrong is your uncle.
“Your uncle stole my patented dishes. He took the food I created, claimed it as his own, and sold it here for huge profits.
“That’s a crime. A crime he committed knowingly. Prison time and compensation-he’ll get
both.”
Saphron froze, completely stunned.

Winson, clutching his bleeding forehead, activated his mental energy and lunged at Sylvara.
In his eyes, she was just a simp who followed his son around. She had no mental energy, only high physical power of H-grade and maybe decent fertility values.
Beating her didn’t matter. Even if she died, so what? Her parents were missing. Her family had already fallen. Paying a few coins to her husband’s family would settle everything. Nothing serious would happen.
But what he never expected was this: Sylvara stood there without moving at all. His mental energy never even touched her. It vanished before reaching her body.
Sylvara weighed the glass shard in her hand and stepped forward. “You insulted me. You cursed me. You copied every dish I created. And now you attack me with mental energy.” She looked at him coldly. “Someone as shameless as you-I’ve honestly never met one before. So, sorry about this.”
As her words fell, she hurled the glass shard at Winson.
Winson was ready. He twisted his body and dodged.
The shard missed him and shattered on the floor. But before he could steady himself, a fist slammed straight into his face.
The punch hit hard. Winson flew backward, his body arcing through the restaurant, and crashed heavily right into the spot where Blake was sitting.
