Chapter 294 Breaking the Old Order

“I…” Saphron hesitated. He had no cash. No land. No physical store.

All he had was a small online shop running on Starnet. He was working with Blake now, but when he looked at it clearly, he realized something simple. Other than himself, he owned nothing.

“You don’t need to worry about anything,” Blake said. Her violet eyes locked onto Saphron, sharp and steady. “You only need to say one thing. Are you willing to work with me, or not?”

“Of course we are!” Sylvara said at once. She reached out and tugged Saphron forward. “Working with Daddy is our gain. Come on, Daddy, how do we split it? You decide.”

Saphron stared blankly at Feywin.

Why did she look so eager? Like she was about to stir up something big. Very big.

Blake’s eyebrow lifted slightly. “You know a Level-7 Plant Healer. I won’t let you lose out. Feywin gets four shares. I take two. Saphron gets three. The last one goes into reserve.”

Daddy is actually letting her take the advantage.

Sylvara stayed quiet.

Saphron waved his hands fast, “No, no, no. General Kenobia, Ms. Feywin, thank you for trusting me. I’ll take one share. That’s enough.”

Working with Blake and with Feywin, who knew a Level-7 healer, was already a huge advantage. In connections. In the market.

Even if they paid him only a salary and had him work for them, he would not lose. He would not be tricked.

Blake’s eyes flashed. She smoothly changed course. “Then how about this? Ms. Feywin has major influence. She gets five. I take two. Saphron, you take two. One still goes into reserve. Is that acceptable?”

Let me take the biggest cut?

Sylvara caught Blake’s intention at once.

That earlier offer to Saphron had been on purpose,

First, to test him. Second, to make it fair and proper for her to take the largest share.

“Deal,” Sylvara urged quickly. “Where’s the contract? Let’s sign.”

Blake pulled up three contracts with a flick of her hand and signed her name on all of them. Then she sent them over.

Sylvara signed without hesitation.

Saphron was urged on and signed as well.

The contracts split into three copies. One for each of them.

After that, Blake went over a few more details. Then she and Saphron parted ways.

They boarded the aircraft and left.

Sylvara turned sideways and looked at Blake. “Daddy, you suddenly jumped into business. Is it because something inside the Empire has grown out of your control?”

Blake glanced at her. The small green apple charm under her tied-up hair swayed lightly. “My girl is sharp,” Blake said with a grin. “You hit the core in one shot.”

“Thank you for the praise,” Sylvara said flatly. “Now get to the point.”

Blake kept flying the aircraft and let out a slow breath. “If we turn people in the Troya Empire into levels,” she said, “it goes like this: the royal family, the Assembly, the Elder Council, nobles, people with mental energy, people with extreme physical power, and at the very bottom, ordinary people with no mental energy at all.”

She paused. “The number of ordinary people without mental energy keeps rising. It started at about 200 million. The latest data shows 350 million, and it’s still growing every year.

“The ones with the most power-the Assembly, the Elder Council, the nobles, those with mental energy and strong physical power-they don’t like equality. They want to push ordinary people with no mental energy out beyond the Tenth Sector planets.”

Sylvara had heard about this problem before.

Back when Relos had just taken the throne, he tried to solve the issue of ordinary people lacking mental energy. Because of that, the Assembly and the Elder Council joined forces against him and refused to fund his plans.

After that, Blake went off to hunt space bandits.

While Blake was gone, Relos solved the money problem on his own. Step by step, he fought for a place in society for ordinary people-those without mental energy and with average physical strength.
