Silence greeted her statement, as no one quite knew what to think of it. Reject all of them? What did that even mean? Beatrice wasn’t sure, if she was being honest, and didn’t give a shit. To hell with waiting for other people. She was going to take charge and just do it.
“You can’t reject someone without knowing their true name,” Benedict explained, looking worried.
Except Beatrice knew differently. Gam) had done something similar when Fuckface had raided Kaleidoscope; they’d banned all wolves from entering the bar and, in doing so, a true name hadn’t been needed.
“What’s his true name then,” she demanded, staring at Benedict. If she could get that, then she wouldn’t need to go balls to the wall and include everyone and their pet dog.
“He won’t know,” Donovan replied for the Beta. “We usually only share our true names with our mates and even then it can take a while. Though, as an Alpha, the Elders would know his name, but I have feeling they won’t be cooperating with you any time soon.”
Beatrice huffed. “How are you even given a name no-one knows, anyway? What about your parents?”
“Not even our parents know our true name,” Donovan explained. “Our names are incomplete until our wolves ascend. It’s their name you need.” He was
being rather open with things non-wolves shouldn’t know but she was too focused on other things to take advantage.
“I need his wolf’s name?” Beatrice sounded exasperated. “Well his wolf is right there, so can’t we just ask him?”
“He won’t tell you. He knows exactly why you want it and will refuse.”
“For fuck’s sake,” she yelled, drawing everyone’s attention yet again. The fae twins popped into existence on either side of Beatrice, who jumped at their
sudden appearance.
“Things sound fun over here,” Ptyrese grinned.
“What are we missing?”
“They’re over there!,” came a shout from one of the Elders.
“Ignore them,” Claire sighed. “They won’t be able to breach my ward for another five minutes.”
“Perfect,” Beatrice nodded, stepping around the blond to stand in front of Benedict. “Move.”
“Beatrice…”
“Move, Tweedledick, or so help me whatever fucking deity is out there, I’ll not only reject his sorry ass, I’ll castrate both of you while I’m at it. was dripping with venom and she meant every single word. She was done playing nice. This was happening whether they liked it or not.
“I can’t. He’s my Alpha. I can’t just…” His eyes flicked over to Claire then back to Beatrice.
Her voice
“Sit the fuck down, weif,” Beatrice commanded, her words slicing the air. The Beta suddenly found himself sitting on the ground. To say he looked shocked would be an understatement.
Alpha Hendricks’ gold eyes trained on Beatrice as she took a step closer.

Chapter 175
Now that her time of sight to Fuckface McGee wasn’t hindered by an idiot, Beatrice squared her shoulders. “Let’s see if I remember what I was told,” she muttered to Irerself before raising her voice and shouting the next part. “I, Beatrice Elaine Conrad, reject you, Alpha Hendricks Bluemoon, the Bluemoon Pack, the autherity of your Council of Elders and all therein. I reiect all wolves over whom your Moon Goddess presides and, more importantly, I reject the Moon Goddess and all the gifts she thought to bestowed upon me without my permission. May she burn in the pits of Hell for thinking she could manipulate
my fate.”
“Jesus fucking Christ,” Alpha Donovan choked out before continuing to swear in a row voice. Everyone else looked just as horrified.
Seconds ticked by in silence as the Elders and their guardian wolves froze the moment the Moon Goddess was mentioned.
“… so… anything?,” Marlow inquired, earning him a glare from his colleagues.
“Gréine…?”
“Dammit,” Beatrice swore. “I can’t even reject their damn Goddess?”
“It’s for the best,” Claire offered. “You should never piss off a deity.”
“Well she pissed me off, so I was returni-” Beatrice stopped mid word, a frown creasing her brow. The world suddenly felt… off. She couldn’t quite figure out what had changed until something in her mind snapped like a rubber band stretched past its limit. It hurt, like being flicked in the head by a finger but, compared to the growing headache she’d had to deal with for weeks, it was negligible. “Something just happened. I… I think it might have worked?” She tried to find that part of her brain where she’d been keeping the mate bond locked away, but it was nowhere to be found.
“What?” It was Benedict who spoke, sounding as surprised as she felt. “How?”
“It was like a rubber band snapped in my head,” she explained with a grin that soon faltered, then disappeared as the world tilted. “Oh.” She didn’t have time to say anything else before collapsing. Hendricks followed suit half a second later.
