Chapter 91: Are You Fucking?
Riley’s POV
I should have known he wouldn’blet it go.
Ezra was still standing in the doorway, one hand braced against the frame, his whole body tense.
His gaze stayed fixed on my feet, on the bloody towels, on the bandages in my lap. I had already told him to get out. He had ignored that as easily as he ignored every other boundary tried to put between ‘is.
“Nothing happened,” I said, grabbing another cloth and dabbing at the cut on my heel again.
He didn’t move.
I could feel him looking at me. The weight of his attention pressed against my skin until even the air in the room felt too tight.
“Try that again,” he said.
I didn’t look up. “I tripped.”
The silence that followed was intense. I could almost hear the fury gathering inside him.
Then he crossed the room.
Before I could pull away, his hand closed around my wrist. The bottle in my other hand tipped and rolled across the blanket
“Ezra-”
“Either you tell me,” he said, leaning down so I had no choice but to meet his eyes, “or I walk downstairs and tell everyone in this palace that you seduced your stepbrother and we’ve been sleeping together.”
WTF?!
I glared at him, almost couldn’t believe what I just heard.
He stared right back at me, utterly serious.
My heart kicked hard against my ribs. “You wouldn’t.”
One dark brow lifted. “Wouldn’t I?”
Shock ran through me first, hot and disbelieving. Then fear followed right behind it, because the worst part was that I couldn’t tell if he was bluffing. Ezra was a crazy ass jerk capable of anything-God knew what he might do when shed tar enough
We held each other’s gaze for one long second. I was still hesitating. Then he suddenly turned his head toward the halt open door.
My stomach dropped.
“Guards! Maids! Anyone fucking around gather up” he growled into the hallway. “Here’s something you should know. Rhy and I have been-”
I lunged forward and slammed my hand over his mouth.
His words cut off under ny palm.
The contact shocked both of us into stillness
His lips were hot against my skin. His breath tanned across the center of my hand in one slow exhale, and the way he looked al me changed all at once. His eyes dropped briefly to my mouth and then came back up again, and suddenly the room felt much smaller than it had a second ago.

Isnatched my hand away like I’d beet burned.
“You’re crazy,” I trissed.
Ezra straightened, watching me with that same dark, intent lock. “Then stop lying to e
I looked away first.
Because he was right. About that part, anyway.
My shoulders sagged. I hated how tired I sounded when I said, “It was Leon’s mother’s training.”
His jaw hardened so sharply I could almost hear his teeth grind.
“What training? For the fucking wedding?”
I gave a short, humorless laugh and held up my bandaged foot. “Yeah, apparently so.”
He stared at it. “What they asked you to do?”
“High heels,” I said. “A tray of champagne. Broken glass under my feet. It was supposed to improve my posture.”
The change in him was instant.
His expression froze all over. Then he shot me a deathly glare. “Why didn’t you leave?”
I blinked. “What?”
“Why didn’t you tell them to go to hell and walk out?” He took a step back and ran a hand through his hair like he physically couldn’t contain what he was feeling. “Did you really want to marry Leon that badly? Your feet were fucking bleeding and you’re still trying to win his mother over?!”
I stared at him in disbelief.
Even now. Even after everything I had just admitted, he still found a way to twist it back on me.
“That’s what you got from this?” I snapped. “Well I see, apparently it’s easy to blame the victim now.”
“It’s your damn choice to go with this whole stupid pre-wedding training. Can’t you see that Leon’s damn mother is clearly a nutcase?”
My temper snapped again.
“It’s not just Leon’s mother, OK?” I threw the bloodied cloth down on the bed. “Your dear girlfriend was there. Smiling Giving ideas. Making everything worse. But somehow this is still my fault because I didn’t storm out fast enough?”
That got his attention.
His eyes widened slightly. “Viola…she’s there?”
I let out a mocking laugh. “Yes, Viola. Your perfect little princess. It’s her great idea to have me walk across the broken glass path.”
Something ugly flickered across his face, but it vanished almost instantly. Then he studied me more closely and asked a completely irrelevant question, “So, are you jealous?”
The truth I was.
But I looked him right in the face and lied anyway.
“I’m getting married, Ezra. And we only had one night. Now you can sleep with every woman in Full Moon Pack if you want. i really couldn’t care less.”
