Chapter Il Feeding Frenzy
“It’s probably real.”

Lucas spoke carefully, “A lot of wealthy families and businesses in the area have already started making moves–some of them are your competitors, actually.”
He chose his words tactfully, but his meaning came across clearly.
Even the Powell family’s rivals were getting involved, so it was hard to believe this was just a false alarm.
If anything, it was turning into a feeding frenzy. A lot of people saw this as their chance to jump in and take a piece of Hanks Group for themselves.
Once Hanks Group’s stock took a serious nosedive, anyone who’d shorted it stood to make a fortune.
All the wealth and profit Hanks Group had built up over the years would end up in someone else’s hands.
“Then tell our people to go ahead.”
Adrian dropped his gaze.
The tablet in front of him was filled with documents of all kinds.
He’d been completely absorbed in going through them, which was why he hadn’t so much as glanced in Isabella’s direction earlier.
If Lucas hadn’t pointed out that the person in question might be Isabella, he probably wouldn’t have bothered looking at all.
Adrian had already verified the news himself.
The reason he’d asked Lucas again was simply to get a clearer confirmation.
From what he knew through his confidential sources, Hanks Group had absolutely no chance of making it through this crisis.
In other words, this was a perfect opportunity to crush Edward.
A gift from above.
That was what he thought to himself before giving the order to move forward.

As he went on issuing one instruction after another, the entire Powell Group swung into action.
While Adrian was focused on going after Hanks Group, Isabella made her way to a large commercial building,
This was the biggest high–end shopping mall in Caporia, carrying the most cutting–edge products and the most expensive luxury goods available anywhere.
Isabella went straight up to the electronics section on the third floor without bothering to browse. She

quickly picked out a set of the most advanced electronics on the market—a computer, a phone, a drone, data transfer and storage gear, plus a batch of the most precise electronic components she could find.
The store manager had never seen an order this big for high–end geak
Even when rich kids came through trying to show off, they never bought this much top–of–the–line equipment all at once.
And on top of that, the order included a ton of electronic components and chips.
Plus, every time Isabella chose an electronic product, she took the whole line–multiple series at a time.
Big spender.
Seriously big spender.
A wealthy young lady, no doubt about it.
Definitely the real deal.
The electronics department manager looked at Isabella’s slim figure and her clean, understated style, and he was absolutely convinced she was some kind of high–profile heiress slumming it for the day.
Man, you rich people really know how to live.
But hey, that was fine with him.
As long as she kept spending like that, he’d be her most loyal servant, and she’d be his most honored VIP.
The manager presented Isabella with the mall’s top–tier VIP black card, showing her the utmost respect.
What Isabella had just bought nearly matched his entire annual sales target.
And this was a super high–end electronics store.
Even the luxury boutiques next door probably couldn’t keep up with this kind of purchase.
Some of that electronic equipment was seriously expensive.
But Isabella had cleared out a whole inventory without blinking.
Wasn’t she basically a godsend?
She was his ultimate VIP.

Each department head in the mall had one of those cards–they didn’t hand them out unless someone either hit their sales goals or had the kind of status that warranted it.
The manager had been holding onto his card, and giving it away meant he had no quota left for the rest of the year,
Clearly, he was genuinely thrilled by what Isabella had bought.
