Chapter 14 Going Long on Hanks Group
A faint smile appeared on Isabella’s face.→

She remembered the previous job for Hanks Group–they had needed her to retrieve something, and they’d wanted it done urgently.
Now it seemed that task, or rather the trouble behind it, had already become known to others.
And those others were looking to use that information to take down Hanks Group.
Isabella let out a light laugh. “Looks like my luck has always been pretty good!”
Someone was trying to destroy Hanks Group, which meant plenty of people were convinced the company wasn’t going to survive this crisis.
But as it happened, Isabella was the one who was about to help Hanks Group pull through.
Jackpot.
A huge one.
Isabella didn’t hesitate and went long on Hanks Group.
That company really was her lucky charm.
This was already the second big payday they’d handed her.
And the initial capital she’d started with had come from Hanks Group in the first place.
Isabella grinned to herself as she started buying up Hanks Group shares in large quantities through her
account.
At the same time, another stream of funds quietly began scooping up Hanks Group call options.
Right now, Hanks Group’s stock had been pushed down to a low point. Once the market opened the next day, it was set to plummet immediately.

In the midst of all that extreme bearish sentiment, Hanks Group call options had dropped to an incredibly low price.
To put it in perspective, it was like buying a Birkin bag that normally cost tens of thousands of dollars for just a few bucks.
On top of that, many of these call options came with leverage, which made their potential value
enormous.
Isabella easily gathered a significant number of Hanks Group call options.
Meanwhile, among the people closely watching her account, quite a few scoffed and said dismissively, “Is this Vex some kind of amateur?”

Chapter 14–Going Long on Hanks Group
This is ridiculous.”
“Everyone’s shorting Hanks Group right now.”
“And there’s solid intel–Hanks Group stock is definitely going to tank tomorrow.”
“She’s jumping in now, and she’s buying Nanks Group?”
“What, did Hanks Group hire her to help them out?”
“Pathetic. No amount of help is going to save them at this point.”

“Word is, this bad news about Hanks Group is huge. Nobody knows the exact details yet, but once it comes out, Hanks Group’s whole business is going to fall apart overnight.”
“Why else do you think all these funds are teaming up to short it? You think they don’t trust Hanks Group’s performance?”
“Actually, it’s because Hanks Group’s performance is so strong, because there’s so much money to be made -and such big money–that they’ve all joined forces to short it.”
“Tomorrow’s the day Hanks Group falls.”
Hearing that, many people shook their heads and said, “Forget it. With the kind of capital we’ve got, we can’t get a piece of that action.”
“Might as well take a big bite out of this Vex instead.”
A fair number of people had been holding Hanks Group call options.
But in the current situation, even if they tried to sell them for next to nothing, hardly anyone would buy.
Now that Isabella was buying up these call options in bulk, a crowd naturally swarmed like sharks smelling blood in the water, scrambling to dump their call options into her hands.
They even called up their friends, urging them to come cash in on the chips Isabella was buying.
Not only that, but they also went elsewhere to scoop up cheap call option contracts and flipped them to Isabella, pocketing a small profit on the side.
The whole bunch of them were having a field day.
But as Isabella kept buying, she noticed that things were going suspiciously smoothly–Hanks Group call options were flowing into her hands nonstop.
That’s weird. Let me double–check.
Isabella had originally figured that during the short attack on Hanks Group, the call options wouldn’t be too hard to pick up.
But time was tight.
She’d already prepared herself for not being able to grab a huge volume of Hanks Group call options.
