Chapter 247 The Women’s Tea Party

Cindy’s POV:

Oliver raised an eyebrow, the corner of his mouth lifting into a knowing smile.

“Oh? Is that so? Well then … what an unfortunate coincidence,” he said lightly.

He blinked. “I’ve actually been staying in the kingdom for several days already, quietly keeping an eye on you. I chose that day on purpose.”

“Why?” I asked.

“Because I want to see how those nobles choose between ‘Queen Isabella’s tea party’ and ‘Oliver’s art exhibition,” Oliver said lazily. “And while I’m at it, I’ll help my little junior get some payback.”

I looked at his calm, harmless expression that was clearly hiding a wicked sense of humor, and couldn’t help laughing.

This was my senior.

Always delivering the hardest slap in the most elegant way.

“By the way, I heard Prince Adam took Dean Dross as his mentor too?” Oliver added suddenly.

“He did,” I nodded. “By seniority, that makes him our junior now.”

Oliver clicked his tongue. “Lucky kid. Still, don’t bully him. From what I know, back when he was at the academy, he knocked several instructors flat. His combat ability is actually the strongest among our generation.”

Instead of getting annoyed, I felt oddly pleased.

“Of course, the man I chose couldn’t be mediocre,” I said proudly.

Oliver looked at my openly protective expression and sighed helplessly, though his eyes were full of amusement.

“Alright, stop showing off. Go get ready. The day after tomorrow, we’re giving Queen Isabella a very special gift.”

everyone know that Silverpeak Ducal Estate isn’t some flashy upstart household. It’s a place of real refinement.”

“Yes, sir!” Tom answered eagerly, his steps noticeably lighter as he left.

The entire estate buzzed with excitement. Servants craned their necks, all trying to catch a glimpse of the legendary master painter.

Queen Isabella’s POV:

I stood in front of the massive floor-length mirror as Martha and two personal maids adjusted the hem of my gown.

“Your Majesty, you look absolutely radiant today,” Martha said sincerely. “This deep red velvet dress embroidered with gold threads makes your skin look as white as fresh snow. And with this ruby-studded crown, even Margaret, who prides herself on her so-called pure bloodline, will pale in comparison.”

I looked at my reflection and smiled in satisfaction. I was an Omega, and though I was no longer young, I had taken excellent care of myself. I knew very well that for a queen, beauty and authority were equally important.

“Of course,” I said, lifting my chin as I lightly sprayed a high-grade pheromones perfume scented with lily. “That old woman Margaret spends all day talking about her ‘ancient bloodline.’ She should take a look in the mirror. The wrinkles on her face could trap flies. Today, I’ll make it clear who the real mistress of this kingdom is.”

The carriage rolled into Adam’s estate.

Inside the hall, silk and jewels shimmered, and the warm air carried the hum of conversation.

“Queen Isabella has arrived!”

At the attendant’s announcement, the once lively hall fell instantly silent.

Every noblewoman stopped talking and dropped into a curtsy.

I walked in with my head held high, savoring the feeling of being the center of attention.

I immediately spotted Margaret.

She was wearing a purple gown that was clearly expensive, but the color only made her complexion look sallow.

She stood there maintaining her royal posture, yet next to my polished elegance, she looked
