Chapter 79 Reputation
Chapter 79 Reputation
Evelyn’s POV:
+10 Free Coins
I stood atop a distant watchtower, staring down at the drill yard, and instead of fear, laughter burst out of
“Hahaha! What a joke! This is beyond fake!”
I pointed below, laughing until tears welled up.
“Alpha, did you see that? The way Miguel flew was way too dramatic! And those cracks in the ground, they obviously planted something ahead of time or rigged explosives!”
I turned toward James with my face full of ridicule. “Adam is really throwing money around to hype that woman up. Even pulling stunts like this. Does he think we’re fools? I know Cindy’s strength. She couldn’t even beat me before. How could she possibly blow away a fully armored knight in one strike?”
James did not laugh.
He frowned, his gaze heavy.
“Evelyn… that looked like wolf power released beyond the body,” he said quietly. “I have never seen it that intense, but the aura did not feel staged.”
“You fell for it too?!” I stared at him in disbelief. “Alpha, wake up! She’s your ex. Did you forget how she was back home? It’s only been a few months. Even if she soaked in dragon blood, she couldn’t reach that level. It’s all an act. Political theater, nothing more.”
James fell silent.
“No way. I am not letting her enjoy this.” My teeth clenched. “I will expose her. I will rip that fake mask off in front of everyone.”
At dusk, Cindy led her people back from the drill yard toward the city.
I blocked her path at the gate.
“Cindy!” I crossed my arms and stood squarely in the road, a few loyal followers behind me. “Nice show. How long did you rehearse it? How much did you pay Miguel?”
Cindy stopped.
She was still in armor, a sharp and lethal presence clinging to her.
She looked at me as if I were nothing.
“Move.” Just one word.
“Struck a nerve?” I sneered while savoring it. “Feeling nervous? Cindy, do not think Adam’s support lets you do whatever you want. Pulling fake tricks like that disgraces Silverpeak Pack. If your father were still alive

you would drive him straight into his grave.”
“Disgrace?”
Cindy finally met my eyes.
She tilted her head slightly, as she let out a ruthless smile.
“Evelyn, are you blind, or just pretending to be stupid?”
