Chapter 83 Killing Intent

Chapter 83 Killing Intent

Cindy’s POV:

Facing the reek of blood charging straight at me, I did not even blink.

“Too slow.”

Through Diana’s vision, Evelyn’s movements were riddled with openings.

I did not transform. I did not even shift my stance.

Just as the red wolf’s claws were about to reach me, I whipped my right leg up and drove my heel into her soft abdomen.

Bang!

I only put in half my power.

The enormous red wolf was sent flying as if struck by a siege ram. She shrieked as her massive body arced through the air before slamming into the sand more than ten yards away. She threw up a thick cloud of dust.

“Ahem…”

Evelyn reverted to human form, curled on the ground with her arms wrapped around her stomach, gagging as sour bile spilled from her mouth.

an

“This… How this be?” Her hair was a mess and her eyes were unfocused. “I’m a Gamma… How could you defeat me without even shifting…”

“Because you are weak.” I walked toward her one step at a time, the two broken sticks spinning lazily between my fingers. “Your power is empty. Your fighting spirit is fake. All that so-called real combat experience you boast about is nothing more than bullying civilians.”

“I didn’t lose!” Evelyn screeched as she staggered upright, her eyes blazing with a final flare of madness. “It’s my bloodline… My bloodline held me back! If I were an Alpha too, I would have won already!”

“Still looking for excuses?”

My gaze turned cold.

“Then I’ll force you to admit it.”

I flung the broken sticks straight into the air.

“Scatter.”

Wolf power burst outward like a finely woven net, instantly wrapping around the two pieces of wood.

Boom!

The sticks detonated midair, shattering into a storm of splinters.

But I did not let them fall.

I swept my hands outward. The countless splinters transformed into a rain of flying blades, twisting together into a silver dragon in the air. It roared as it charged straight at Evelyn.

“Ah!”

Her soul nearly leapt out of her body. She tried to dodge, only to realize she was already locked in place by my killing intent. She could not move at all.

“Die.”

For a brief instant, I meant it.

I saw my family slaughtered. I saw the vampire prince she tortured to death. I saw this cursed war.

If that attack landed, she would be riddled with holes.

Just as the splinters were about to pierce her body, a flicker at the edge of my vision caught Adam standing in the crowd.

He said nothing. He simply watched me.

In his eyes, there was no command to stop, only deep trust and a silent reminder.

Franklin.

Revenge.

The greater picture.

Those words flashed through my mind like lightning.

My hands snapped shut.

“Stop!”

The storm of splinters halted an inch from Evelyn, then drifted down softly like falling snow.

All except one.

The sharpest splinter sliced through the air and brushed her throat with perfect precision.

Swish!

A thin red line appeared across Evelyn’s neck.

Blood seeped out, trailing slowly down along her collarbone.
