“And to what do I owe this unexpected meeting?” I asked, a smug smile playing on my lips.

The guard bowed his head slightly in acknowledgment. “I am here to inform you that the Alpha is on his way here to see you. You are advised to be in your best behavior.”

Instead of feeling intimidated, I burst out laughing loudly. That arrogant boy thought that because he had found a little dirt on me, he could treat me however he pleased? My laughter quickly turned bitter and transformed into pure anger. I clenched my fists tightly, my knuckles turning white as rage surged through me.

“And you think you have the right to come here and tell me that?” I barked at him, my voice sharp

and threatening.
