I looked up and of course it was Samuel standing in front of me and if it were any other situation, I would be embarrassed of him finding me in this situation but now I’m just glad that I’m not here alone.
Samuel stood firmly in front of me. The black bathrobe he was wearing made him look graceful and wild and his jet black hair and dark eyes combined with the storm, almost etheral.
he looked
I know he said something, I mean I saw his lips move but, I’m still shocked by his abrupt appearance, I was literally staring at him with my mouth open. Trying my best to make my brain and my mouth to connect so I could explain to him that I wasn’t a crazy person and I had a valid reason for being out here in the hallway in the middle of the night.
But I couldn’t do any of that, my body was working against me and all I could do was hig my knees and sway back and forth like a patient in a nut house.
He let out a frustrated sigh as he looked down at me. “What are you doing out here Miss Edmund.” He asks and this time I hear him clearly.
“N–None of your business,” I replied him, why did he have to be such a douche, couldn’t he see that I was in distress?
As soon as I finished my sentence, another deafening thunder sounded, causing me to tremble
once more.
The next second, my mind went blank and the pain in my heart only got worse.Out of terror, I grabbed his leg tightly and pressed my face against him.
“D–Don’t…” I tried to plead with him, I didn’t want to be alone.
His eyes darkened as he glanced down at me. He looked confused and I get it, one minute I’m being rude to him and then next I’m clinging to his leg and begging him not to leave. But there was also something else in his eyes and I could only describe it as heat.
It was then that I realised that I was only wearing a bathrobe I got from the guest room. I had no underwear underneath as I didn’t sleep with them on and I had just woken up from my sleep and I was so scared that I didn’t think to put any on before I left the room.
“Let go,” he snarled at me.

I lifted my head and looked at him. It was evident that I had embarrassed myself in front of him and he didn’t care, or want to help me.
Just when I was about to let go of his leg, another booming thunder sounded again.
At that moment, I no longer cared about my pride. Instead of letting go of his leg, I held on to it tighter than before, as if I was desperate to merge my body with his.
The thunder roared on incessantly.
Alpha Samuel Bowers.
I could feel that she was scared stiff, just like a frightened kitten, but it could all be an act.
“Let go,” I growled loudly at her.
“Never.”
“Don’t make me repeat myself for the third time.” I was starting to lose patience, I was very close to kicking her off my leg, I wasn’t in the mood for all of this.
“I won’t let go even if you repeat the fourth time.” She said with a shaky voice and her eyes were tightly closed, like she was having a nightmare, she began to babble incoherently, “Please… Don’t leave me alone. Mom, don’t go…”

At that instant, it was like everything fell into place, this must have something to do with the storm, she’s clearly terrified by it and it must also have something to do with her mother.
This wasn’t an act, at first I thought she was trying to seduce me, I mean with her clinging to my leg and just wearing a bathrobe that didn’t hide much, I mean I could feel her breasts pressed up against my leg.
She was merely treating me like a lifeboat in the dark that saved her from the darkness, however, I was experiencing the opposite.
Although she was not interested in me, she still sparked the fire in me, bringing it back to life.
Though my body was reacting to her, I did not push her away. Veins popped up on my hand and my claws came out as I tried my best to rein myself in.
Sometime later, the storm was finally over.
After pulling herself up and calming down, the embarrassment was clear on her face, I mean she couldn’t even look me in the eyes.

I on the other hand was angry, no grown adult is scared of storms or the dark, which means that someone did this to her and I dont know why but every fiber of my being wanted to find that someone and make them pay for hurting her.
Slowly, she let go of my leg and she stood up from the floor and she slowly adjusted her robe, all the while she had her head down, like there was something interesting on the ground.
“I’m sorry Alpha Bowers. You invite me into your home and I do this. Don’t get me wrong. I’m afraid of thunder, and I only grabbed your leg out of anxiety.”
“Do you think I need your apology?” I snapped at her and I quickly realised my mistake as she flinched back.
“Alpha Bowers, I… I know that you’re upset. However, I still have to apologize.” She stammered and I could tell that she wanted to flee but that wasn’t going to happen until I got my answers.
Before she could make her move to leave, I pulled her by her shoulder to stop her from leaving.
She turns around slowly and she stares at me with a mixture of embarrassment and also anger.
“So you’re just going to get me all riled up and leave?”
