Franklin glared at me like what I said was a lie or something. With the kids, Franklin was always vocal about how he felt about me, unlike Sophia who just kept to herself. But I was sure if that little girl could speak, she would follow her brother’s lead.
“Hey lady. Stop dreaming. Who gave you such confidence to think that you looked much prettier than Natalie?” Franklin gave me the side–eye.
“Y–You…” I mean I knew he hated me but if there was one thing Franklin wasn’t, that was a liar.
“What? Did I say anything wrong?” He knitted his brows and looked at me in disdain. “I wonder why an adult like you still doesn’t have any self–awareness, maybe you really do need glasses.”
“Did you just say I don’t have any self–awareness?” I squatted down and held his shoulders. “Listen. I am the biological mother of you and Sophia. No matter how much you hate me, this is a fact that will never change. Sooner or later, I will move into the Bowers residence and officially become your mommy.” I tell him, I mean he should be happy that I’m in his life.
I mean If the twins were not Samuel’s children, I would have sent them to hell with Natalie, he should be thanking me, it’s because of me that he’s alive.
After all, they were my bargaining chip to marry into the Bowers family and become Luna of Blood Moon Pack.
“Well, you say that yourself. We’ve never admitted to that.” Franklin raised his eyebrow and spoke indifferently.
I couldn’t take it anymore, he had succeeded in pushing me over the edge, “Franklin Bower, you-” I shouted.
“Daddy, why are you here?” Franklin suddenly hollered as he looked at the person standing behind me.
Startled by his words, I quickly let go of Franklin and stood up.
As she I around, I put on a gentle smile, but there was no one behind me.
Realizing Franklin had tricked her, I yelled, “You!” The little trickster, I only too this because my plan hasn’t worked yet, but the moment I get into this house and become Samuel’s wife, the children will either learn to respect me or fear me.
“Hahaha! Someone like you want to marry my daddy?” Franklin scrunched up his face and stuck his tongue out at me. “Dream on!”
“Please stop coming here, we don’t want you here.” He says and then he gives me his back, like he’s dismissing me.
He turns around and takes Sophia’s hand. “Sophia, let’s go!”

Sophia also gave me a bad look, I mean she couldn’t speak, but the look that she gave me spoke a thousand words. She took her brothers hand and the both of them walked into the house, leaving me standing alone in the foyer.
Watching the twins leave, I trembled with anger. “B*tch!
This was all that woman’s fault.
In truth, the twins‘ biological mother was Natalie and it seems that me being her twin doesn’t even help at all, they don’t even give me the respect of being the one that brought them into this world.
However, they were so well–behaved and obedient to another woman named Natalie as well and worst of all. Samuel seemed to like the woman.
Damn it! Why does someone with the name of Natalie keep showing up around me? It’s so annoying!
I muttered to herself, “Another Natalie, huh? I’m going to make you regret coming into my family and trying to ruin my plans!
Alpha Samuel Bowers.
At my throne room in the house, I stood in front of a large window overlooking the scenery beneath.
Watching my people go about their day, I was deep in thought at what happened at breakfast.
Knock! Knock!
“Come in.”
Billy entered the office and placed a few documents that needed to be signed onto my desk before reporting about work progression clearly and concisely.
I was hearing him, I mean I could see his lips moving but I wasn’t paying any attention. Yara clearly said that she wasn’t in town and she didn’t have the mark at the back of her ear, but neither did Natalie.
But her scent, the scent was the same, I’m sure that the woman at the cafe and Natalie have to be the same
person.
After Billy finished reporting, I asked nothing about work. Instead, he ordered, “Billy, help me to investigate Yara and the Nichols family.”
“Sir, didn’t we investigate them before?”
“That information is too general. What I want to know is something more than that. I want you to dig deep, I want to know their deepest secrets.” Resting my chin on my palm, I cast a meaningful glance at Billy. “I don’t care about what had happened to Yara in the past. What I’m concerned about are the Nichols family’s secrets. For example, Alpha Thomas has another daughter of similar age to Yara. I need you to find out everything about her.
Billy nodded. “Alpha, I’ll send someone to investigate them.”

“Okay.”
A moment later, something crossed my mind, and I reminded, “Remember to keep a low profile throughout the investigation. Make sure not to alert anyone.”
“Yes sir.”
After Billy left, I strummed my fingers on the desk and went into deep thought.
I was referring to Natalie when I reminded Billy not to alert anyone.

This woman is good at hiding her true self. She disguises herself by wearing a mask to cover her face, protecting her real identity all the time. She must have been hurt by someone deeply before. That’s why she disguises herself so that no one can ever hurt her again.
The more Natalie acted that way, the more my heart ached for her and at the same time it burned with anger to avenge her.
I did not want to force her to reveal her true identity or admit anything. I would rather patiently wait for the day she told me everything herself. I just have to do my best not to push her buttons and get her to
trust me.
NATALIE.
Meanwhile, Natalie went to work at the Major Crimes Unit.
I just finished sewing up the bodies that were found in the trash bags, it was like putting together a jigsaw puzzle, they were five bodies in total, two males and three females. But I did it and I did such a good job that you could barely know that they were decapitated.
“Wow, Ms. Edmund, you did such a good job. Would you teach me how you do that?” Effie asked me.
“Maybe some other time Effie, were you able to get the results that I needed?” I asked her.
“Yes I did, you were right there were traces of salt water.” She tells me as she hands me the paper.
God, why can’t I remember, it’s like it’s just at the front of my mind and I just have to grab it. I’ve seen something like this before, I need to call Theo when I get home, maybe he found something.
I took the paper from Effie and left the autopsy room, I was so lost in thought that I bumped into an old man in uniform at the coroner’s office.
“Grandpa!” Effie was the first to speak.
I recognized the old man was the top officer of at Blue Eden Pack and a very good friend, Gerald Jones.
Effie looked excited to see her grandfather, while Brandon looked nervous. I still don’t know what to make of the guy.
I raised my eyebrows and asked, “Hey, Mr. Jones. What brought you here today?”

“Natalie? Oh, my goodness! What happened to your face?” He looked shocked and I immediately realised my mistake.
