Oh God, please, this cannot be happening right now! It felt as though my own body had turned against me. Every time he laid a finger on me, it was as if my rationality evaporated into thin air. And now, to make matters worse, his brother has just walked in on us.
What on earth is Samuel’s issue? Does he stroll around kissing women he barely knows?
I was mortified. Sure, Steven might not recognize me behind this mask, but still.
At that moment, I found my face pressed against Samuel’s chest, the warmth of his body enveloping me. Suddenly, his deep, gravelly voice broke the tense silence, resonating above me.
“Get out.”
“Sam, I…”
“Don’t make me say it again. Get out.”
Just like that? Was he genuinely trying to shield me?
Why was he addressing his brother with such intensity?
Once the door clicked shut behind Steven, the atmosphere in the private room shifted dramatically.
An oppressive silence descended upon us.
I pressed my face deeper into Samuel’s chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat thumping against me like a drum.
“Let go of me, you bastard!” I mustered all my strength, attempting to push Samuel away, but he held firm.
“This is my private room. You were the one who barged in and decided to sleep here…” Samuel paused deliberately, letting the words hang in the air, “And you kissed me when you were drunk.”
In that moment, clarity began to seep back into my mind. I lifted my gaze, scanning the room around us.
Despite its familiar layout mirroring the previous private room, the wine cabinet remained tightly shut, and the glasses on the table stood empty.
It dawned on me that I was not in Yandel’s reserved space at all.
I frowned, fixing my eyes on Samuel. “I initiated the kiss? It was clearly you, you jerk!”
“Oh really? Who was the one kissing and licking my lips like a wolf in heat?” Samuel countered, gesturing towards his lips. “You’re the one who seduced me, and yet you expect me to keep a clear head?”
His already alluring, husky voice carried a teasing undertone that was utterly captivating.
My thoughts swirled chaotically, my heart racing.
“I… I didn’t…”
It felt eerily reminiscent of that night five years ago—the very reason I had sworn off alcohol.
I instinctively wanted to deny everything. Yet, a vague memory flickered in my mind, reminding me that I had indeed tasted his lips.
How was I supposed to know it was Samuel’s mouth I was kissing?
“Even if I initiated it, I was drunk, so it doesn’t count.” I stood abruptly from the couch, intent on leaving. “I’m sober now. Let’s just pretend nothing happened.”
“Don’t touch me. I have a boyfriend.”
“Say that again if you dare.”
His voice turned icy, sending a shiver down my spine.
He didn’t intimidate me; rather, I found myself deeply disappointed in him. Flirting with a stranger after confessing his feelings to me, while still entangled with Yara?
“I have a boyfriend, so please, don’t touch me. It disgusts me.” My lips curled into a mocking smirk as I continued, “There are countless girls out there eager to jump into bed with you. So can you kindly let me go? You repulse me.”
Samuel seized my chin, forcing my face towards his, his eyes searching mine.
Caught off guard by my defiance, I shoved him away, leaping up from his lap and bolting for the door.
Yara was the one who had caused me to lose everything.
As long as he remained connected to her in any way, I had to consider him my adversary.
I spotted Steven leaning against the wall outside the private room, engrossed in his phone, curiosity etched across his face.
When he heard the commotion, he looked up and instinctively asked, “Y-You finished so quickly?”
I shot him a frosty glare. I knew it. Both brothers were notorious womanizers.

You know, I initially felt guilty for taking that money, but not anymore. Samuel Bowers can go to hell for all I care.
