Chapter 104

Gabriel had sent eight werewolves. No ordinary werewolves, eight of his personal army. Elliot had never personally met any of them, they spent most of
their time up in the hills or at the pack house. They trained a lot, that much Elliot knew. Their wolf form was terrifying enough to see and their human form
too. They were also more wolf than human too, it was so easy to see in their mannerisms. The way they growled, the way they could talk to each other with
just a few grunts or howls.
Elliot both feared and revered them but then they came with bad news. Tony’s dead body had been found. Killed with a silver bullet. His mate too. Elliot
knew what that meant. It was obvious someone was out to get them. And his mind shuddered at the thought of the person being his own brother. He didn’t
want to believe that Lyle would take such a stupid risk. It was very stupid and it sounded extremely comical to say the least.
Except Lyle had found support from some external forces, Lyle didn’t have it in him to go against Gabriel. It was suicide if he was putting it mildly.
He was talking to the guards when he heard them say they could smell other werewolves in the perimeter. They moved quick, taking precautions. Elliot
rushed back inside to check on Lori and make sure she and the baby were safe.
He couldn’t avoid it, what would happen would be nothing short of a bloodbath and Lori would have no choice but to witness it all. The only thing he could
do was prevent her and the baby from getting hurt.
And then he heard the first bullet and he went still with fear.
Elliot had never fought a wolf before in his life. Sure he had gone through the one year mandatory basic survival training that Moon fang werewolves were meant to take but that was years ago. And he had not visited another training camp again after that. He always stayed out of everything. Everything that
had to do with the fights, blood and gore.
It was one of the reasons he lived with Gabriel. His best protection would come from the alpha. No other place.
But now the fight had come to him.
Even with the morbid fear in his guts, he still had to mobilize the staff.
“By now I’m sure you all have an idea of what’s happening.”
He said as he took another peek out the window.
Mr Gregory nodded.
“Yes. We are being attacked.”
“Yes. Barricade every door, or open entrance and stand guard.”
“We cannot let them get in.”
He added.
“But what if they do?”
Sylvia asked. There was fear in her eyes, real actual fear. She had probably never fought a day in her life either.
“Then we’ll fight. Protect Lori and the baby at all cost.”

He said and watched her cover her mouth with her hands.
“I’m sure you’ve all taken the blood oath. You know what it means, you know what it entails.”
“Whatever you do. Don’t let them get in. I will be upstairs guarding Lori.”
He said as he left them without any more words and climbed up the stairs.
He himself was ready.
He would be ready.

Gabriel heard the wolves from a mile away.
He parked his car a few feet away from his residence and tore off his clothes in anger. It was the only way he could beat them. With Stealth.
They would never see him coming.
He would make sure of that.

He fell to his knees on all four. Gabriel stood rigid in the moonlight, his blue eyes turning a bright amber gold. His bones shifted inside of him and he bit his lips to stop his growl from getting too loud.
Every bone in his body broke and reformed. His skin became fur, fur as black as the night sky with not a speck of white, his legs became long, heavy and sturdy limbs and his face contorted. He could feel the sharp incisors growing out of his mouth and the pure feral rage that started to flood his senses.
Once he turned there was no going back. Gabriel would only be able to think of two things, to protect and to kill. And now the instinct to kill was overriding any logical sense or thought that he had ever had.
