He sat on the sofa and placed Lori’s head on his lap, stroking her hair softly.

He had tied the cuts with strips of fabric from his T-shirt. He didn’t touch a vein while he cut her, he had been as precise and gently as he could, but there was still a lot of blood. He only hoped she won’t suffer too much blood loss.

“The moon… it’s going to rise any minute now. I hope we have enough time.”

Lori nodded.

She was cold. Cold, weak and tired.

“Do you? Do you think this will work?!”

She asked him and Elliot shook his head.

“To be honest… I’d rather not… I’m starting to think it’s a horrible idea.”

He said as his legs shook nervously.

Lori sighed.

“If I don’t make it.. can you send a message to Gabriel for me?”

Elliot shook his head as he laughed nervously.

“You’ll have to find a way to tell him yourself because he’ll have my head when he sees me and finds out I’m the cause of all this.”

“He won’t…”

Lori drawled and Elliot shrugged, he had a splitting headache, courtesy of the super moon. He was trying so desperately to keep his wolf intact. At least

until he needed to.

“Oh let’s not pretend Lori…”

Lori sighed.

She closed her eyes and tried to feel the mating bond. She tried to feel for Gabriel…

He was so far away. There but not also there… hopelessly, she called out his name, from her lips and in her mind.

Elliot wasn’t paying attention to her, but rather to the moon that was slowly coming out of the dark clouds. He had experienced his fair share of super moons, and he hated them. He already had a pretty lax control on his wolf, but they made it much more worse.

He clenched his jaw tight, his claws digging into the arm of the sofa. He could hear wolves nearby… they were coming up the hill, in their human form.

It was time.

He turned to Lori, shaking her as gently as he could.

“Lori…”

She opened her eyes, surprised to see that his eyes had become golden yellow. It startled her and she gasped.

“It’s time.”

He muttered and Lori nodded.

With one rough hand, Elliot pulled up her sweatshirt, exposing her bare waist. He could see her shaking slightly and he wanted to convince her that she would be fine and it’ll all be over in a minute but he couldn’t lie.

It wound hurt like a bitch, he thought as he felt his fangs growing, Lori gasped again as she looked at his face, his face slowly morphing into one of a beast, she pulled away from his grasp.

He pinned her down with a look, he managed to look as apologetic as he could. He didn’t want her to make it harder enough for him.

It was already hard enough for him.

In one swift motion, Elliot bit into her side.

Lori didn’t know where the courage to not scream came from, because she bit down her lips so hard it drew blood.

Elliot pulled away quickly.

“I’m sorry…”

He pleaded as he stood his distance.

Lori doubled over in pain.
