The Alpha’s Nanny (Lori and Gabriel) novel Chapter 150

Chapter 150

She needed to have him.

“Where is he? I want to see him.”

“In the nursery.”

Vara answered as she pointed to the hallways.

“Take me to him.”

The nursery was small, small but cozy and Sabine could smell that scent. That scent that belonged to Lori all over the room. A small baby in a cot, with dark

hair. Hair as dark as Lori’s.

Sabine touched his cheek and smiled.

Oh he was perfect.

Vara stood by the door, watching Sabine. Sabine was acting strange. Too strange… this whole business with the Fullers.

She didn’t understand it. Not one bit. Why was Sabine so invested in Lori’s child?

Why?!

Lori didn’t even know the child was alive… and given the circumstances around his birth… why would she want him?

“The Fullers. What are we going to do with them? Are you serious about killing them?”

She asked and Sabine nodded.

‘I am.”

‘Make it look like an accident.”

She said as she picked up the sleeping baby, gently, so gently that he didn’t stir.

Vara’s jaw dropped.

‘Alpha! What are you doing?!”

Sabine glared at Vara.

“And what does it look like I’m doing?!”

‘Are you taking him with you?!”

‘Yes. He’s more useful to us alive than dead.”

She said as she walked out of the room.

Anne Fuller stood up as she watched Sabine approach the door.

“What?!”

“Where are you taking him to? What? What?”

She whispered and Sabine paused.

There was a framed picture on the wall. A picture of all three of them together. The baby and the Fullers.

She would need this.

She thought as she snatched the picture from the wall.

‘Please! Please!”

The woman started wailing.

Sabine ignored her, slamming the door right after she left.

“Help?! Help?!”

Elliot screamed as Lori laid on the floor. Two small cuts on her wrist, not too deep but just enough to cause panic.

The basement door opened a minute after.

“What happened?!”

One of Sabine’s men asked. He was bald. Bald headed with sinister looking eyebrows.

“She cut herself.”

Elliot said as he pointed to her.

“She needs medical attention, we need to stop the bleeding.”

He said and the man stood there for a while, contemplating his options.

He stared at Elliot.

“You’re Lyle’s brother right?”

He asked and Elliot nodded.

“Bring her up.”

He said and Elliot nodded.

In the cottage living room, Elliot placed Lori on the worn sofa, he knelt in front of her on the hardwood floor and applied pressure to the cut on the man’s orders while the two werewolves inside with them ransacked the tiny cottage for a first aid kit.

Elliot could hear them slamming cabinets, slamming doors and turning over stuff.

None! There was nothing like that.

“She’s getting too pale.”

Elliot warned. One of the werewolves ran towards him to check her pulse, he cursed loudly. Thankfully, Lori’s temperature and pale skin color was enough to

raise an alarm and it made them bothered enough to start making calls and rambling.

Whoever they were talking to on the other side of the call seemed very angry at them. Elliot could bet that it was Sabine.

After the call they started talking to each other in low whispers, the one of them approached Lyle.

“Just! Just stay here! Apply pressure to it.”

He said and Elliot dutifully nodded. They both left the house.

When Elliot was sure he could hear no lingering werewolf nearby, he jerked Lori awake.

She stood up wobbly, she was weak, there was no way in hell she would survive an actual werewolf bite.

This was a bad idea! Too bad he didn’t have any other good ones. If he picked her up and ran they would be caught in at least two minutes by the

werewolves hiding out in the bush.

It would be suicide to try something that stupid.

“How are we doing this?!”

She asked and he pointed to the open cottage window where the sun was finally setting.
