The Alpha’s Nanny (Lori and Gabriel) novel Chapter 153

Chapter 153

She slammed into him. Even though Lori m weighed a mere hundred pounds, the force of her impact was hundred times more than her weight.

The man landed permanently on the ground with a sick thud. He didn’t move.

She turned, noticing she could see much better than she had ever seen in the night. It was like she had been looking at the world through blurry glasses because everything now looked like it was in higher definition.

She didn’t know where the strength had come from, but it was strong and she could feel herself getting drunk on it. The more she used, the more she fell

into the allure…

She had never, ever felt so powerful in her entire life! This power, this newfound power, she liked it.

She liked it very much! She thought as she grinned.

She turned to the wolves snarling at her. They would never let her pass. And besides, she needed to leave.

They were snarling like rabid dogs, barely able to contain themselves.

One of them lunged for her and she instinctively raised her hand up and it’s neck snapped in the air. It fell to the ground with another disgusting thud.

The other two stepped back a bit, whimpering slightly but it was a little too late.

She kind of wanted to kill them. All of them.

Sabine had rushed to the cottage. Faster than anyone else. Faster than Lyle who was somewhere in the city gathering intel of Gabriel. She had first gotten a

call from one of her men that Lori had tried to kill herself. And while she felt had extremely concerned she was too busy with Jack. Finding an appropriate

place to keep him, away from Lyle and away from his mother or anyone else that might suspect he was with her.

She was in the middle of all that and she didn’t take as much heed or caution when her men told her Lori had tried to kill herself and was bleeding. She

didn’t even think of how wrong it sounded, how Lori didn’t look like she was the kind to take suicide as a way out.

She would heal herself, Sabine thought. Sabine knew she would. She was nephilim. That was why the sleeping drugs kept wearing off faster than normal. She

just chose to hide it from Lyle.

She couldn’t trust him with such information, not yet.

So she had dismissed it.

And then that was when the Super Moon happened and she started hearing howls. Howls of her own wolves in pain… her own wolves dying.

She thought she was dreaming. It might as well have been a dream, because it wasn’t possible. But it wasn’t. It was a clear distress signal. And even when she got there as fast as she could when the moon was high and her own wolf was rebelling against her strong will.

And when she got there. It was a freaking bloodbath.

Thirty wolves. She had placed thirty of her own wolves from her own pack in those wolves and the scent of their blood was thick in the air.

Their bodies littered the woods. Some mangled, some destroyed’ to the point of recognition and some, some simply in their human form, mid transition, they had not made the turn quick enough to save themselves.

Not that it would have saved them though.

Sabine fell to her knees in the middle of the forest.

Gods.

How? How would she account for their death?!

How would she explain to the elders and the pack?

This was no ordinary wrath. This was the wrath of a nephilim who had been wronged.

But how?!

What triggered the switch?!
