Ages.
“Oh. Draco, what a surprise. I wonder why you’re calling.”
“Cut the pretense Sabine. We know what you did.”
Gabriel answered as he snatched the phone from his beta.
There was a short pause followed by a nervous laughter.
‘I don’t know what you mean…”
She started.
“Where’s Lori?”
He asked.
“How would I know? Plus, who is that?”
“You know who I’m talking about Sabine.”
‘I actually don’t know. Now if you’ll excuse me I have things to do…”
*Like covering up the thirty something wolves that are currently lying dead on your property?”
Gabriel sneered and Sabine went mute.
Yes. He got her.
‘I’m curious as to how exactly you’re going to explain this situation to the Invito and other alphas when they find out that you’re jeopardizing the entire werewolf community by leaving werewolf bodies for humans to find!”
‘How am I the one at fault?! You really think I’d kill the wolves in my own pack?!”
Gabriel shrugged.
I quite honestly wouldn’t put it past you.”
He muttered and she sighed.
“Listen, Gabriel… I don’t know why you’re calling me. But I don’t know any Lori. Or whoever it is you’re looking for.”
‘And what about the dead wolves?!”
Gabriel persisted and she sighed. There was another long pause and Gabriel was seething with every passing second.
“I didn’t kill my wolves. I would never… although now that you’ve brought it up I wouldn’t mind you sharing the information to other alphas so we can start

searching for who exactly did that…”
“What do you mean?”
Gabriel snapped.
“Oh I don’t know! I don’t know any supernatural like that stupid enough to fight so many werewolves. Really narrows down our options doesn’t it?! I’m sure
you have one or two guesses.”
Guesses?
What?
What was this silly woman insinuating.
He paced across the living room again and that scent hit him again.
The scent of Lori and Elliot mixed together.
Gabriel looked at the sofa and saw dried blood on it.
He pressed two of his fingers to it and put it to his lips.
His eyes widened.
He knew that taste. He just had it a few days ago.
It was Lori. Lori’s blood.
Did? Did Elliot bite her?
Did he somehow attempt to turn her into a werewolf.
He turned to Draco and he could see the same questions running through his beta’s mind.
Oh gods.
What the fuck happened?!
He calmly put the phone back to his ear.
‘I can promise you one thing now Sabine.”
His voice was somber, fatal and deadly, even Draco balked at the sound of it.
Sabine had crossed a line. A dangerous one. She was playing a game only Gabriel could win.
She would not survive the aftermath of Gabriel’s wrath.
‘Oh and what is that?”

She asked her sultry voice dripping with sarcasm.
“I’m coming for you Sabine Reinhardt. Enjoy whatever freedom you have now, because when I finally sink my fangs into your neck, you’d wish you never
crossed me.”
“You were being followed.”
