The Alpha’s Nanny (Lori and Gabriel) novel Chapter 241

Chapter 241

She said as she tried to steady herself on her feet.

Sabine ignored her.

“Make it quick.”

She told Siobhan.

The witch put down her bag of supplies, her hands a little jittery as she reached into it.

Sabine stood by to supervise the entire thing.

When Siobhan drew the blood, the baby cried and she flinched, but she managed to get at least two vials from him.

“Is he healing himself?”

She asked out of curiosity and the witch shook her head.

“He’s not.”

She said as she put a bandage over his arm to stop the bleeding.

They left shortly after the came in and went back to the room where Astra was previously held.

Sabine had handpicked one of her men to join her in the room. He was going to be their test subject.

“The fastest way to get it in would be intravenous.”

Siobhan murmured as she pulled out a syringe.

“Do what you must.”

Sabine said as she relaxed in a chair.

“Okay. We will first test his healing rate before giving him the blood. Then we will test him after.”

“How will we do that?! My healing rate is pretty fast.”

The guard boasted.

Sabine gave him a look, she stood up from her chair and walked towards him.

“Not fast enough when it’s a wound from your alpha.”

She muttered as she slapped her hands across his face. Her claws dragging deep and drawing blood.

The guard growled, his eyes turning a bright yellow before dimming.

Siobhan set her timer and waited.

They all waited while the guard groaned in pain.

“Healing rate is extremely slow, almost non existent.”

Siobhan murmured as she looked at the time.

Over three minutes and the wounds and pain remained.

“Administer the blood then. Let’s see if it speeds it up.”

Siobhan nodded as she filled up the syringe with the vial of blood, seconds later she passed the blood and quickly set the timer.

Right before their eyes, the scars from the bloody encounter went away.

“It does work.”

Sabine breathed.

Siobhan was equally shocked. She didn’t know much about the boy but Sabine had implied he wasn’t fully nephilim.

She had thought that, combined with the fact that he was a baby would have made the test failed.

“Forty eight seconds. Completely healed. How do you feel?!”

She asked and the guard nodded.

“Felt like you just gave me an adrenaline boost.”

There was a cocky smile on his face.

He nodded at the witch.

“Got anymore of that stuff?!”

“You may leave.”

Sabine said dismissively and the guard left.

She picked up her phone and dialed Axel.

He picked up on the second ring.

“Yes?!”

He said seductively on the phone.

Sabine smiled.

“I had the boy tested. It’s true. His blood does have the same healing properties.”

Axel was quiet for a while.

“That’s excellent news.”

He beamed and Sabine smiled.

“Are you interested in being my ally now? Now that I have something to offer you.”

Axel scoffed.

“You think I’m interested in the boy?!”

“Yes. More than you would let on. Your fascination with Lori doesn’t have much to do about who she is, but what she is, that fascination it seems, also

extends to her son.”

“I’m good at reading people.”

She added and Axel chuckled.

“I’m now aware of that.”

“I’m leaving soon. This location has been compromised… but I have no where else to go…. All my other locations… Gabriel knows all of them, I thought I’d

be safe here for at least a while but I don’t think I will.”

“You need somewhere to stay?”

He asked and she nodded.

“Desperately. Somewhere to stay… and preferably how to leave this state without taking a public flight.”

“Leave that all to me. I will get a friend in New York ready to pick you up in a second.”

Even though the trip to New York had been as fast as they could manage, there was a nagging feeling in Lori’s chest that made her think that they were too

late,

She was on the edge of her seat all through the ride to the apartment complex, they had followed the address that Astra had given them. She was jittery because restless as they approached the building.

She had even left her luggage in the car that had dropped them off at the complex, claiming she would come back for it later.

When they finally reached the apartment floor, disappointment weighed Gabriel’s features, he couldn’t hear or smell anything then.

Lori’s heart sank but she held out hope till they managed

break in the door.

It was empty.

Her heart truly sank.
