Chapter 258

Gabriel nodded.

The doorbell rang.

That must be Draco and Lila. They’re watching the baby.”

He answered as he stood up to answer the door.

Ione got to the Cabin first. Lael had reassured her that it was safe. She had also given her five of her best nephilim, courtesy of the Order. They had scouted the area first, then deemed it safe enough for Graham and Ione to go inside. Then they had waited.

It took Lori at least ten minutes to arrive and one thing that was whispered into her ear by one of the nephilim guards was that she wasn’t alone. Ione had not actually expected her to listen, surely her werewolf mate must have been the one to come with her.

She waited with bated breath, till Lori alone appeared on the front porch and opened the door, by then Ione was already standing. Ione was mildly shocked when she saw her. Lori was stunning. Her own daughter… in the flesh.

She dressed simple, a dark grey jeans with a cream sweater. She had long dark hair just like hers and her eyes and her face was entirely the same as hers. A splitting resemblance, even Graham looked amused.

The two of them stared at the other awkwardly, not quite knwoing what to say to each other. Not quite knowing how to start. Graham cleared his throat, Lori broke out of the gaze and nodded.

‘Right. Can we get into it? We don’t have much time.”

She murmured and Ione nodded.

“Yes. I suppose we don’t.’

The two of them sat opposite sides of each other.

‘You said you can help me find him. How exactly can you do that?”

‘How long as he been missing?”

Lori sighed. Pretty much since he was born. She had not even held him before.

‘Since he was born. It’s a long story.”

She murmured.

lone nodded.

‘Well, I don’t know how much you know about our kind but…”

“I don’t know a lot.”

Lori retorted. Thanks to you, she wanted to add but she held her tongue. It was best to concentrate on the task at hand. And on sending Gabriel a mind message that the coast was clear.

lone nodded.

“Right.

“Well, one of our abilities is the ability to find each other. As long as there has been a connection before, there is a strong possibility that we can find each other when one of our kind is missing.”

Lori raised her eyebrow.

“You mean you could have found me all these years?!”

lone hesitated.

Graham intervened.

“Your mother, unfortunately doesn’t have those abilities…. even if she did, she didn’t use them because it was assumed that you were better off without her in your life.”

“That’s the stupidest excuse I’ve ever heard.”

Lori answered as she turned to her mother.

“Who is this?”

She pointed to Graham.

“My confidante. Graham Atkins.”

Her mother replied.

‘And how do I find my son? How are you sure I have these abilities you speak of?”

lone sighed.

“Because your father had them.”

Now, things were getting interesting.

Her father?!

‘I have a father too?”

lone shook her head.

“Let’s not get into that now. It’s imperative we find out whether or not you can make the connection to find your son.”

“How do I do that?”
