Gabriel woke up well rested the next morning. He had tried to get out of bed twide when Emilia got fussy but despite his protests, Lori promised to handle it. So when he woke up and still found her sleeping he decided to give her more me to sleep. She would not be accompanying him anyways. He had thought long and hard about it and decided that it was very risky for him to bring her along. Especially since there would be certain conversations that he wouldn’t be able to talk about in front of her.

He would ask her to stay in the hotel, then see Mrs Chrissy Garcia, taking her granddaughter with him.

He had decided on an escort last minute, feeling weird that he had travelled without Draco by his side. Gabriel couldn’t remember the last time he had

Lori stirred a bit, rubbing at her sleepy eyes. She patted the bed and noticed that it was empty. She rolled to the other side to check on Emilia in the

makeshift bassinet and found out that she was still sleeping.

Oh she was still quiet tired. She could hear the shower running, Gabriel must be getting ready to leave then, she thought as she jumped out of the bed. In front of the vanity mirror she loosened her hair from bun and brushed it. She was still quiet tired as hell, the baby had been so fussy and the nights she had

with Emilia not interrupting her sleep had made her forget just how many times she had to wake up and take care of her in the night.

It was why she had refused Gabriel’s help when he asked. She felt like she should do it, besides the only reason Emilia was fussy in the first place was

because she was in a new environment. She was probably very confused and struggling to grasp why they were moving around so quickly.

She walked to the living room and called room service, Emilia would be waking anytime soon and she needed to make her bottle. She needed some hot

water and also breakfast. She didn’t eat anything, although she had some food on the flight though it was only complimentary pastries.

She was in the living room sorting out Emilia’s outfit for the day when the door the bathroom opened and Gabriel came out. Lori stared at him. He was dripping wet and wearing a towel. The towel was wrapped tightly around his waist, but low enough for Lori to see his V line and when he turned towards

her.

Oh God she was staring again. She looked down, focusing on the clothes she was picking out and waited until Gabriel directed his gaze at her.

‘Hey! You’re awake.”

Lori nodded.

‘Yea. Good morning.”

‘Good morning.”
