“What?! Why?”

Lori asked as she dropped the clothes.

“Lori will be meeting her grandmother today and I think she might find it weird that you’re with me. I don’t want her to make any stupid assumptions.”

That didn’t sound right. Lori stood up, facing him with her arms on her waist.

“What assumptions?! You’d just tell her that I’m Emilia’s nanny.”

“I know. I know. But it’s not as easy as it sounds…”

“It sounds very easy Gabriel…”

Lori gave him a pointed look.

“What are you going to do when you need to feed her? I don’t think I packed a vacuum flask.”

She should have. She should have really packed one but Sylvia had convinced her it wasn’t necessary and she truly didn’t think it was anyways.

Gabriel shrugged.

“We’ll be gone for only a few hours. I doubt she’d need to feed…”

“But what if she does?!”

Lori persisted and Gabriel shrugged.

‘Okay. I’ll go buy a vacuum flask.”

Lori sighed. It just didn’t make sense for her nor to go.

“Lori. Please try and understand. Besides, we’d be gone for a few hours and back Mery soon. I actually don’t plan to stay that long.”

Okay. Il pack a bag for you.’

“Thank you.”

Gabriel said.

‘In the meantime. You should get some rest, I know you still need to sleep.”

Well, that bit was true anyways, she did need to sleep. But she didn’t understand why she couldn’t come along,

Gabriel left the hotel an hour later, even why he was leaving, Lori had fussed ove the baby all through while she saw them off to the car. She kept checking if the baby was warm enough and reminding him of how to change the baby’s diaper since there was going to be no makeshift diaper table. He found it cute that she was being so fussy over Emilia, almost like she was her mum. She also seem to be really agitated that he was leaving without her.
