Chapter 404
Laila’s POV
“Jason,” I gasped. “How…?”
“I couldn’t stay away anymore.”
“But…” I couldn’t believe my eyes. Most likely, I had fallen asleep in my bed and this was all a dream. He wasn’t really here. He couldn’t be. “Such a cruel thing, my mind…”
“What do you mean?” he asked.
“You are just a dream,” I said. “I’m sure I will wake up at any moment and you will be gone.”
His face softened. “Laila,” he said, my heart nearly broke at the sound of him saying my name. “This isn’t a dream. I’m here. I’m real. This is happening.”
Just as I started to shake my head, he stepped forward. One of his arms went around my waist, guiding me back into the room. His other hand grabbed the door and closed it behind us, before it too reached for me, cupping my cheek.
“Allow me to prove it to you,” he said and kissed me.
My lips parted at once in surprise. His tongue slipped into my mouth.
And just like that, I knew this had to be real. Or, if it was a dream, it was the most vivid I’d ever had in my life, and I wasn’t about to let it be over. Not yet.
Since Jason’s absence I hadn’t been able to find release. All of that had built up inside of me. With his presence here, even if in my dream, I could feel that dam bursting.
“Jason,” I whimpered, already overwhelmed, even here at the beginning.
“I’ve got you,” he promised and, cupping my ass, he lifted me and carried me to the bed. There, he lowered me down gently.
Gentle was not what I wanted, not after so long apart. Desperation was pumping through my veins. My panties were already soaking, my nipples peaked.
“Jason,” I growled, holding onto him as he tried to lean back.
