The Apocalypse Survival Manual (Three Days Before Doomsday, I Stockpiled Billions) novel Chapter 365

Chapter 365

Felix cared too much about appearances, and Zeph’s words left him with no good way to respond. He forced a smile.

“You might not know this, but they rolled out an armored vehicle today. Flattened our checkpoint and barricades. If they didn’t have backing, there’s no way they’d get something like that.”

“An armored vehicle?” Zeph said. “Who actually saw it?”

Anthony stepped in right away, trying to smooth it over. “One of our guys made it back alive and reported it.”

“From what I know, military and police equipment is tightly controlled. There’s no way an armored vehicle jus ends up out there. Are you sure he didn’t panic or start seeing things from heatstroke?”

That didn’t sit well with Anthony. “Come on. We sent people to check. The damage wasn’t something a normal vehicle could do.”

Zeph only smiled and said nothing.

Anthony felt the irritation creeping up. They had gone all out to host him, not to watch him act above it all.

He held it back. “Then tell us, do you have a better solution?”

“I already did,” Zeph said calmly. “Wipe them out. This is the apocalypse. Conflicts only end one way. If peace and goodwill worked, the world wouldn’t look like this.”

He stood up.

“Thanks for the meal. When you’ve made a decision, let me know. We’ll help.”

Felix’s expression tightened, but he kept the smile in place. “Take care.”

The moment they were gone, he swept the dishes off the table.

After he calmed down, Anthony spoke again.

“He’s blunt, but he’s not wrong. There’s no room for two sides here. The resources aren’t enough for both. If we keep fighting over the same pot, we’ll both starve. And Drakehold isn’t exactly modest about what it wants. Whoever moves first wins.”

Felix already knew that. He just couldn’t afford to lose.

After a long pause, he said, “Send people to dig deeper. I want everything on Drakehold. And keep an eye on Zeph, too. No mistakes.”

If it came down to a real fight, there would only be one chance,

Back at their place, Zeph and Nicole couldn’t speak freely with the listening devices in place. After walking off the meal, they started sparring.

They kept going for over two hours.

After they cleaned up and lay down, Nicole spoke first. “You really don’t think Drakehold has backing?”

“No chance,” Zeph said, leaning back. “And even if they did, if we wipe them out first, who’s left for anyone to
