Chapter 94
Some even turned to beg the 18th floor.
The same people who had been shouting just moments ago were now panicking, stumbling over each other like trapped animals.
Facing death, all that bravado vanished.
Nicole didn’t open the door. She stood there with a blank expression, observing everything through the steel bars like she was watching a show.
Beatrice clenched her fists, lips parting like she wanted to say something, but no words came. In the end, she turned her head away.
The man was covered in blood, his face twisted and his eyes wild. He looked like something dragged out of hell.
A few bigger, tougher men stepped forward, raising their blades and swinging at him. Steel cut into his body, his back, arms, and legs. Blood soaked him completely.
And yet, he didn’t stop or even flinch. It was like he couldn’t feel pain anymore.
He seemed to recognize them. His voice broke as he screamed, “You killed my daughter! You’re all going to pay!”
Like something that refused to die, he kept going, fighting multiple people at once, soaked in blood, until they dropped one by one.
And still, he didn’t stop.
Bleeding and shaking, he charged into the crowd again, his eyes burning. He cut through them like the Grim Reaper himself.
Others finally reacted, swinging pipes and blades toward his head, desperate and brutal.
Then, a gunshot cracked through everything.
Bang!
The man dropped with a clean hit. Blood covered his face, but for a second, his expression softened.
“Don’t be scared, darling… I’m coming…”
Then he went still.
Nicole hadn’t fired.
Jeremy and Hughie turned, stunned.
Zeph stood behind them, gun in hand.
Even in that chaos, he had landed a perfect shot.
He didn’t say anything, but he didn’t fire again. He just turned and walked upstairs.
One bullet, and it was over.
The 17th floor was a mess. People were on the ground everywhere.
Oliver and Edward hadn’t been cut, but they had been trampled in the chaos. They lay in the blood, unconscious.

No one knew if they were alive.
Cola growled, still restless, ready to charge back out. Every time he saw Edward, he wanted to tear into him again.
“Help me… Please…”
Some of the injured turned toward Nicole, begging.
Cuts, crush injuries, punctures from the spikes… It was bad.
Nicole was a med student. She could help. They really didn’t want to die.
More voices joined in, desperate.
But why should she help them? So they could recover and come back again?
Nicole turned and walked upstairs. She didn’t look back once.
Beatrice and the others were shaken. For a moment, something like pity stirred.
