The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 107

Chapter 107 A Tiny Punishment

Third-person POV:

Thora knew Shirley was talking about Hazel. Her face turned colder.

Secing Shirley’s small, frustrated pout, she reached out and ruffled her hair.

Thora asked, “When are you planning to go back home?”

“I already told my family I ran away. I’m not going back.” Shirley smiled sweetly.

Thora had no words.

“So, Thora, you have to take me in! If you don’t, I’ll starve, freeze, or be killed by some rogues, Shirley said with a serious face.

“I think you’d be the one who killed the rogues,” Thora replied, turning toward the car.

“Thoraaa! Boohoo!” Shirley pretended to cry.

“Get in.”

Shirley’s tears vanished instantly. She jumped into the passenger seat with a bright smile.

The car drove into the core area of the Silverleaf Pack. When they reached the villa, Thora parked outside the house instead of pulling into the driveway.

“Wait in the car.” She left Shirley with the instruction and walked inside.

“Ms. Thora.” Judy’s voice made Laurel and Hazel look over from the living room.

“Tsk. She has no shame. Got thrown out and still crawl back,” Hazel muttered as she scratched her arm.

Her arm was covered with tiny red rashes. They had flared up right after Shirley left-itchy and painful.

“I knew it. Some people have skin thicker than a fortress wall,” Laurel added.

Thora ignored them completely. She headed upstairs and packed her things.

She picked up several pieces of clothes and the essentials. Less than ten minutes later, she came down with a bag in hand.

Laurel and Hazel exchanged a look. They hadn’t expected her to come back to grab her belongings.

Hazel spotted the limited-edition luxury sports car outside and suddenly stood up. “Thora, you can leave, but your stuff stays! And the car stays too!”

Her voice shook with no confidence at all. She tugged at Laurel’s sleeve while still scratching at her arm.

Laurel caught on right away. She stood up and glared at Thora. “Your dad kicked you out. You don’t get to take anything from this house! Ever heard of being thrown out with nothing?”

Chapter 107 A Tiny Punishment

Thora shot her a cold look so sharply that Laurel stepped back without thinking.

“I thought maybe, before I left, the two of you might surprise me in some way.”

She let out a soft, mocking laugh, then walked straight out the door.

“Thora! Stop right there!” Laurel shouted as she ran after her. Hazel rushed out behind her.

Finished

Thora didn’t even look back. She took a few quick steps, got into her car, and hit the gas. The car shot forward and sped away.

Behind her, the mother and daughter chased and yelled, completely losing their cool.

Most of the neighbors in this gated community were core members of the Silverleaf Pack. Hearing the noise, they peeked out from their windows. When they saw Laurel and Hazel shouting in the driveway like madwomen, their faces filled with disgust.

The Pack had always valued pure bloodlines. Many people weren’t thrilled that the old Alpha appointed Thora, a mixed-blood, as the next Alpha. When they saw Hazel screaming without any dignity and remembered how Thora fought off the Greywolf mercenaries, their balance quietly shifted.

They finally understood what the old Alpha cared about. It was never blood. It was ability and vision.

Thora hadn’t even awakened her wolf spirit yet, but she’d already started showing real strength in every way. Once she awakened, maybe she really could lead the Pack back to greatness.

Inside the car, Shirley watched the drama fading in the rearview mirror,

Curious, she asked, “What did you do to them?”

Thora focused on the road. “Do you think a dog needs a reason to bite you?”

Shirley thought about it. “Hmm, I guess not.”

Thora didn’t answer, but after a moment she asked, “The rash on Hazel-was that you?”

She had noticed it the moment she walked in. Thora remembered Shirley saying Hazel yelled at her.

Knowing Shirley, she would never let something like that slide.

Shirley squinted and grinned. “Yep. She called us names, so she deserved it. It won’t kill her, but she’ll be miserable for a while.”

Thora didn’t disagree.
