Third-person POV:
Thora’s trip home felt unusually lively.

Felix, Shirley, Luke, Harvey, and Ashton trailed behind her, chatting and joking as they walked toward her new house.
Just as they reached a quiet street outside the neighborhood, Thora suddenly stopped.
This wasn’t the first time she felt this place looked familiar. She kept thinking she had been here before, but she had no clear memory of it.
She turned and stared toward one section of the road, her eyes narrowing.
Wait, why did that estate look so much like Darius’s property?
“Thora, what are you looking at?” Felix asked.
Thora shook her head. “Nothing.” But deep down, she wondered, Is it really just a coincidence?
When they entered her new villa, Ashton’s jaw dropped. “Wow! Boss, this is your new home?”
It was Felix’s first time seeing it, too. This house wasn’t as big as a villa, but it was way more stylish and luxurious. This was a real luxury villa, through and through.
Everyone dropped their stuff and started exploring upstairs and downstairs like excited kids.
Thora didn’t stop them. She sat on the sofa and crossed her long legs on the coffee table. Thora looked a lot more relaxed and defiant compared to her usual proper posture.
Luke sat across from her and tapped quickly on his keyboard. “I had sent you the files.”
Thora took out her phone and tapped it a few times. The screen projection appeared in the air above the device.
“This is the information you wanted on Hugo, the commander-in-chief of the Special Operations Unit.”
Luke paused, then added, “Military files are difficult to get. All officers with general-level ranks or above have 4S-level encryption. Cracking it took three days.”
After her meeting with Hugo, Thora had asked Luke to dig into his background.
But the military system wasn’t easy to infiltrate. High-level profiles were protected under the strict confidentiality laws.
“Thanks. I’ll transfer your pay later,” Thora said as she studied the files.
“Boss,” Luke said with a small grin, a spark flashing behind his glasses, “aren’t you worried you’ll end up spending all your money on me one day?”
Without looking up, she simply said, “You’re worth it.”

She said it without thinking, her focus still on the screen.
But those words made Luke freeze.
He pushed his glasses up so he could see her more clearly.
After a moment, he suddenly said, “From now on, anything you tell me to do, I will do it for free.”
Thora twitched her eyes. She lifted her gaze toward Luke. “You sure?”

Luke gave a smile, then his composure returned. “I don’t need money. I just need something that interests me. And right now, you’re my interest.”
Thora was stunned.
If Darius said something like that, she would’ve thought he was flirting. But coming from Luke, it sounded as natural as drinking water.
She raised a brow. “If it saves money, I’m not saying no.”
Then she remembered something. “Oh, and about the college security system, make sure Mr. Grant pays more for it.”
A sharp glint flashed across Luke’s glasses. He smiled. “Of course.”
Thora kept scrolling through the files on her screen.
Hugo Stanton. The youngest general in the Astralis Empire.
Born into the Blazewind Pack’s alpha family, he had incredible talent. But at fifteen, he gave up the right to lead his pack and joined the military instead. He entered special forces, earned achievement after achievement, and climbed ranks fast. In just ten years, he became a general with deep experience in special- operations combat.
Because of his background, he now led the special operations unit. Young, skilled, and highly respected by the military.
Two months ago, Hugo proposed creating the Wolffang Unit. The congress approved it unanimously. The Lycan King himself ordered him to carry it out.
Reaching this level at his age was something almost no one could even dream of.
Thora turned off the projection. Her eyes darkened a little.
Hugo was a man worth respecting. Fast, sharp, and careful with every move.
No wonder that ever since Hugo noticed her, he had been watching everything she did.
Just then, the group walked over after finishing their tour of the villa. They sat down in the living room.
