The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 116

Chapter 116 The Hidden Bond

Third-person POV:

“Don’t worry, General Stanton. That day will never come.”

Thora’s tone made Hugo a little annoyed, but it also cased his mind.

He hoped she was right.

If that day ever came, he wouldn’t be able to explain himself to the congress or to the Lycan King.

“Good. In a couple of days, I’ll send someone to talk to your father about this.”

Thora frowned, but she didn’t argue.

The Greens were a long-standing military family. A child’s position in the armed forces could affect the family’s standing.

And since the Greens were also the alpha family of the Silverleaf Pack, their achievements in the military would shape their pack’s status too.

Everything was connected. There was no escaping it. Norman was bound to find out sooner or later.

“You all have one week to prepare. Seven days from now, everyone meets at Wolffang Base.”

After speaking, Hugo kept Thora back and sent a guard to help the others fill out their forms.

“Thora, besides your team, I’ve selected several top soldiers from the military for the Wolffang Unit. Every single one of them is the best of the best. Whether they’ll follow your order…

A mischievous smile pulled at Hugo’s mouth. “Well, that depends on your ability. And one of them is the youngest Major General of the army.”

For a moment, Hugo found himself curious. Once Thora joined Wolffang, would that stone-cold face of hers ever crack?

Thora didn’t want to waste time on this nonsense. She changed the topic. “General Stanton, I request to delay the start date by two weeks.”

“Why?” Hugo asked, confused.

Thora’s lips curved into a sharp, dangerous smile. “I need to take care of some family business.”

Hugo nodded. “Fine.”

After that, Thora went downstairs to record her information.

But the moment she reached the section about her bonding status, the system refused to process it.

“Alert. Your status is marked as bonded. Please re-enter your information.”

The mechanical voice made everyone turn toward Thora.

“Impossible.” Her voice dropped to an icy chill as she stared at the words on the screen.

The officer handling their registration hurried over and checked the system again.

The officer spoke in a flat, official tone. “Your file shows that you’re already bonded. And it happened only about two weeks ago.”

He frowned. That didn’t make sense. The system said she was only sixteen, too young to hold a bonding ceremony. So how could she already be bonded? But the system in the army never made mistakes.

“Thora! W-When did you bond? Bohooo! Why didn’t you tell me? You’re supposed to be mine.” Shirley burst into loud, dramatic sobs.

Luke was already flipping open his laptop. He pulled up Thora’s profile and stared at the screen with wide

eyes.

“Boss, you really did, and your mate is … ” For the sake of his survival, he didn’t finish the words. He simply turned the screen toward her.

The moment Thora saw the name, her face darkened instantly.

Her eyes narrowed. The veins on her knuckles stood out. She clenched her teeth and hissed, “DARIUS BLACKWOOD!”

Skybound Tower.

“Alpha, these are the newest electronic devices and tactical gear designed for the Wolffang Unit.”
