The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 224

Chapter 224 Wanted

When Harvey reported back to Thora, his voice was full of helplessness. It proved the woman really was difficult to deal with.

But at least she was smart enough to know that causing trouble at the military base wouldn’t work. So she went after Ashton’s direct commander instead.

Thora never liked handling this kind of petty drama.

But she knew that if she didn’t resolve it, Ashton would remain in the Wolffang Unit only to be buried under a mountain of problems. And as his commanding officer, it was her job to clear the path for him.

While she was thinking, Thora’s eyes suddenly sharpened. She glanced at the rearview mirror.

Two black sedans were tailing her, not even trying to hide it.

And from the way they moved, they were clearly planning to ram her.

The two cars suddenly sped up and tried to box her in from both sides.

Thora let out a cold laugh. She slammed her foot on the gas, tapped quickly on the control screen, and gripped the wheel tightly. Her car shot forward like a rocket.

In seconds, she surged several hundred feet ahead and left them behind.

But the two cars roared after her at full speed.

Thora’s car moved across the road like lightning. Even at top speed, she handled it so smoothly that it felt like nothing could block her path.

The cars chasing her weren’t so lucky. They kept pushing their engines too hard and smashing ́into things. Smoke started pouring out, and car parts scattered everywhere.

But in just a few minutes, Thora had already driven out of the city limits.

She spotted a piece of candy sitting in the tray next to her seat. She grabbed it, kept one hand on the wheel, unwrapped it with the other, and popped it into her mouth.

A quick look in the mirror showed the two beat-up cars still trying to keep up.

“I slowed down for you, and you’re only catching me now?” she said with a soft scoff.

She had barely finished speaking when the two cars lunged in again. A moment later, a gun barrel poked out from one of their rear windows.

1/3

Thora’s expression turned icy. She yanked the wheel hard.

Her car slid sideways right as…

Bang! A bullet scraped across her car’s side, throwing off a string of sparks.

“Damn it!” someone shouted from the other car.

Both cars pushed harder. Their speedometers were already hitting the max.

Thora used their momentum, spun her wheel again, and slid straight into a narrow alley ahead.

Perfect. The alley is only half a car wide.

She made it in.

But the people chasing her never expected such a tight space to appear, and they definitely never thought Thora would drive right into it.

“Brake! Brake!” someone yelled.

But it was too late. The cars slammed forward into the narrow passage.

Boom!

Both cars exploded, and smoke filled the whole alley.

Thora’s car bounced once when it landed, swayed from the momentum, then drifted neatly and came to a stop.

She opened the door and stepped out. Her wrist device shifted and clicked into the shape of a handgun. She loaded it with one hand.

At that moment, seven or eight people walked out of the smoke.
