“What did you do to Thora?” Darius’s voice was ice-cold, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes.
Seeing Darius’s reaction, Elliott sneered, “Don’t worry, Mr. Blackwood. This adorable little darling was only injected with a sedative-at worst, she’ll have a headache for a few days. But to keep her more compliant, the dose was twice what you had.”
Only after confirming that Thora was out of danger did Darius relax slightly, though the coldness in his eyes. didn’t fade. He warned sharply, “Watch your words.”
Elliott was stunned for a moment before realizing Darius took offense at calling Thora “little darling.”
He deliberately provoked him, saying, “Didn’t think you’d be that possessive. How about you hand her over to me, and I’ll let you go-deal?”
He had always disliked Darius’s calm demeanor and wanted to see him lose his cool.
Darius was indeed angry-but not in a rash way. Instead, his anger was chilling, as though an invisible line had been crossed. Anyone who stepped over it would be crushed to dust.
“Hand her over to you?”
A playful smile curved Darius’s lips, but a dark aura slowly spread around him, filling the cabin with a suffocating pressure of death.
Elliott suddenly recalled a saying from the Chaules: never offend the Blackwoods of the eastern Nightclaw Pack. Even if it means crossing the Astralis Empire, don’t mess with the Blackwoods.
Because the Blackwoods were terrifying freaks.
Many had tried to destroy the Blackwoods, and even more had sought Darius’s life-from Starlance City to the border-but none succeeded.
And the Blackwoods weren’t just Darius; there was also his unfathomable father, Preston.
At that moment, Elliott truly understood the meaning behind that saying.
Even though Darius was his prisoner now, he still radiated an overwhelming terror.
Elliott’s wolf spirit frantically warned in his mind: “Stop provoking him! Though we’re all alpha level, I still feel a terrifying aura from him, like it could tear our souls apart!”
Afraid to push Darius any further, Elliott quickly backtracked, saying, “Just joking with you, Mr. Blackwood. You and she are both in my hands-there’s no need for pointless exchanges.”
With a cold laugh, he waved his hand.
Click, click!
The sharp sound of bullets chambering echoed instantly, and the guns all aimed at Thora on the floor.
“Mr. Blackwood, sign this contract. Or your friend’s head will be blown to bits.”

Elliott threatened directly, his eyes filled with determination, “You choose-what’s more important, your friend or this contract?”
Darius’s fingers curled slightly, knuckles whitening. When he looked at Thora on the floor, he hesitated for a
moment.
“She’s fine. Her breathing is steady, and there’s no stiffness from anesthesia in her limbs… She wasn’t drugged at all. Or the sedative has already worn off, and she’s pretending to be unconscious.” Lorcan gave his assessment inside his mind.
Darius had already realized the same thing.
Thora had probably let herself be captured on purpose-to meet up with him.
The black, deathly aura spreading around Darius instantly drew back into his body.
The corner of his mouth lifted, his voice cold and commanding. “I want her. And I won’t sign the contract.”
Anger exploded across Elliott’s face.
