Chapter 264 You’re Going to Give Us Heart Attacks

At the very last second, Thora pressed the submit button on the registration system.

“Thora Green, 18 years old,” she said, breathing hard and quietly.

“Congratulations. You are now registered for the Blue Star Military Academy admission test, the system displayed along with her registration details.

Registration was officially closed.

Everyone sighed in relief-she made it just in time!

Even the assistant handling the registration let out a deep breath.

This was easily the most stressful applicant they had seen in all their years handling registration, a truly heart-stopping moment.

“Thora! I’m so glad you made it! I thought you’d miss it! I was ready to leave with you,” Shirley said, clinging to Thora’s arm and acting all cute.

“You’re here,” Tristan said quietly, his voice calm, but his eyes shone bright.

Thora nodded. “Yeah.”

“Students, registration is now closed. Please move on to the next assessment area,” a uniformed officer announced sternly.

Thora looked at the car parked outside. If its owner was also going to Blue Star Military Academy, he’d see it as soon as they arrived.

She nodded slightly and followed Tristan and the others through the archway.

At the same time, all registration points under the giant building instantly shut down.

The moment the registration points closed, a bright layer of light covered the outside of the building, activating the defense system.

Anyone trying to sneak in now would be hit with a million-volt electric shock. Those who didn’t make it would have to wait for the next chance.

This was the first test at Blue Star Military Academy-registration.

And Thora’s last-second rush was clearly seen by Valen in the monitoring room.

His face turnell grim, and he said coldly, “If someone has to rush just to register, what kind of military discipline can they really have?”

All the teachers in charge of admissions exchanged looks. The tyrant was angry.

They knew him well. When he got mad, the tests for that candidate always got much harder-almost like the world itself was against them.

Valen checked the clock and said, “I’m taking a break. I’ll personally supervise the second round. If anyone tries to cheat or do something wrong…” His voice went icy. “Handle it by standard protocol.”

“Yes, sir!” they answered together, standing straight.

They all understood what “standard protocol” meant. It was aimed at international criminals or candidates with bad intentions.

The Blue Star Military Academy had a high death rate during admissions. The academy did not interfere with open competition or personal conflicts between candidates. But if someone openly killed or challenged the authority of the academy, they would be shot on the spot or banned from applying for life. The academy’s rules were absolute.

After saying that, Valen turned and left.

Once he was gone, everyone finally relaxed a little and went back to work.

“Hey, doesn’t that car look familiar? Maybe it belongs to one of our students,” a teacher said, looking at the

screen.

“That license plate belongs to Roxen Delgado’s from the Command Institute!” another teacher shouted.

“The principal did say that upperclassmen would help with admissions tests this year, and Roxen’s on the list. But why is a candidate driving his car?”

The teachers were confused, whispering and staring at the screen, almost ready to rush over and question the candidate.

If they had known Thora had snatched the car, they would have been completely shocked.

Meanwhile, everyone who had registered gathered in one wide open area.

This place was even bigger than the outside area, so wide that more than a thousand people didn’t feel crowded.

Tristan tossed Thora’s backpack to her. “We trust you, but don’t scare us like that again, okay? If you keep this up, you’re going to give us heart attacks.”

He said the words, but there was a gentle warmth in his eyes.

Thora raised an eyebrow and swung her bag onto her shoulder. “What’s wrong with surviving a few heart attacks?”

Tristan laughed helplessly, his eyes filled with mixed emotions.

“Yeah, Boss, she’s right! Our poor hearts haven’t settled down once!” Ashton joked.

Shirley dug around in her pocket for a while and pulled out a piece of candy. “Thora, I bought this in Tohmont today. You should try it.”
