Chapter 284 She Looks Terrifying
Silence fell over everyone.
Tristan immediately pressed the withdrawal button on Dominic’s wrist.
A system notification sounded, “No. 360, eliminated.”
This time, Shirley didn’t try to stop him.

She stood up. Her eyes were so cold and sharp that everyone felt a chill. Without saying a word, she crouched down and began removing the gear wrapped around her waist and thighs. In seconds, the parts. clicked together, forming a three-foot sniper rifle-her quick handling made it seem like she’d done it countless times before.
Ryan stared in shock, wondering if his eyes were playing tricks on him.
Shirley swung the rifle onto her shoulder. A flash of white energy surged into her eyes.
Her gaze cut straight through the fog, locking onto something far away. A bloodthirsty smile curved her lips as she walked directly into the mist.
“Aren’t you going to stop her?” Ryan stood up and called after them.
He’d heard Shirley was mentally unstable. Right now, she looked straight-up dangerous.
But Tristan and the others didn’t react at all.
“Relax. She’ll be back soon,” Ashton said, clearly used to that. “I’m more worried about whoever she’s aiming at. Shirley’s berserk trait isn’t something to mess with.”
Harvey nodded, then suddenly noticed Ashton leaning on his shoulder. He jerked away and shoved him aside.
Ashton nearly stumbled and shot him an annoyed look. “Seriously? Can’t lean on you for a second?”
Harvey snorted and didn’t bother responding.
Tristan was the least worried of all.
In close combat, Shirley might get hurt. But with a sniper rifle, her Hawk Eye skill, and scouting ability, it turned her into an invisible specter. No one knew where she was hiding, or when death would strike.
Right now, Shirley was the most dangerous and frightening person in Wolffang.
Even so, Ryanʼnoticed a hint of concern in their calm expressions. It just never slowed them down.
They quickly shifted to planning the next route. Their clear thinking and clean execution left Ryan genuinely impressed. That was teamwork built through countless battles.
If he hadn’t sensed their silent concern, he might’ve thought the person lying on the ground was a stranger, not a teammate who’d fought beside them.

What kept them going was probably Dominic’s last words. “Don’t forget-Boss is still waiting for you. And I’ll still be fighting with you… just from somewhere else.”
That sentence was their belief.
A spark lit up in Ryan’s eyes. So that was Wolffang.
That exhilarating feeling hit him hard.
Twenty minutes later, Shirley returned with the sniper rifle on her back.
“Dead?” Ashton asked bluntly.
“Almost,” Shirley replied flatly.
Tristan didn’t dig further. He only said, “If you act alone again, we’ll handle it by the rules.”
Shirley snorted and said nothing.
To her, no one’s words mattered other than Thora’s.
Tristan already had a counter. “I’ll tell Boss and let her deal with you!
Shirley deflated on the spot. “…Okay.”
Ryan raised an eyebrow.
That didn’t sound like punishment at all-more like pure indulgence.
His curiosity about Wolffang’s boss only grew. What kind of person could she be?
But when he finally met Thora, the shock completely scrambled his thoughts. He missed his chance to really speak to her.
After hearing Tristan’s report, Thora already understood everything.
“You handled it well,” she said quietly. “Dominic may be eliminated, but like Alger and the others, he’s still fighting with us.”
Tristan nodded, his eyes turning cold as he glanced at a man and a woman nearby.
Thora followed his gaze. She’d noticed them from the beginning.
They were from the Mirage Corsairs.
