The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 324

Chapter 324 Bible

The crowd went completely silent. Everyone sucked in a sharp breath.

Thora froze for a moment, then a hand blocked her view.

“Not for kids,” Draven said evenly, though his palm fully covered her eyes.

“Ahhhh!!!” Mona screamed hysterically, grabbing the red bikini top from the ground and trying hard to protect her modesty.

Thora brushed Draven’s hand aside, grabbed a towel nearby, and quickly wrapped it around Mona’s chest.

She reacted lightning-fast. Before anyone could get a glimpse, Mona was fully covered, leaving a few onlookers quietly disappointed.

Unexpectedly, Mona slapped Thora hard across the face.

The sudden turn shocked everyone. Tristan and Shirley both frowned.

Draven’s aura instantly turned cold.

“Bastard!” Mona cursed, then turned and fled in a panic. The bodyguards who had just climbed out of the pool scrambled after her.

Thora stood there, frowning slightly as she touched her cheek. It stung a little, but she didn’t care.

“She started it. Why did you just let her hit you?” Draven demanded angrily.

Shirley stormed over, clearly upset. “She’s a flirt, just trying to seduce men! Why’d you help her? And why didn’t you dodge?”

She’d assumed Thora wouldn’t be at a disadvantage, so she hadn’t intervened. She hadn’t expected Thora to actually get slapped.

Thora’s expression darkened.

She wasn’t a saint, but in her world, a woman’s body wasn’t meant to be mocked or humiliated.

She could have shot Mona dead or fought back. But she wouldn’t stand by and let Mona be publicly shamed through exposure.

That was her principle and instinct.

As for that slap? That had genuinely caught her off guard.

“Forget it,” she said coolly. “It won’t happen again.”

But Shirley wasn’t done. A dagger appeared in her hand, her eyes burning with intent as she sprinted after

Mona.

“Shirley!” Thora called sharply.

But Shirley was already too far away to hear her.

“Tristan, bring her back,” Thora ordered.

“Got it,” Tristan said and started chasing, but his pace was slow, like he didn’t actually plan to catch her.

Thora’s expression grew darker. Had they all decided to rebel today?

Dravenn sneered. “If it were me, I’d have killed her already.”

Thora looked at him. “If I wanted someone dead, it’d be easier than stepping on an ant. But what she did doesn’t deserve that.”

Draven’s eyes flicked toward her. “You’ve killed plenty before.”

Her gaze chilled. “In this world, more people don’t deserve death than those who do.”

“So who, in your eyes, deserves it?” he pressed.

Thora met his eyes. His jaw and stare were familiar, yet clearly someone else entirely.

She smiled faintly. “Maybe if you ever think about killing me, you’re already someone who deserves it.”

Draven’s eyes narrowed dangerously, locking onto her with a cold intensity.

Who deserved to live or die was never hers to decide.

She only knew her life and death belonged to her alone. No one could control her. That was enough.

The hot spring party didn’t stop because of the chaos. If anything, the sudden flash of exposed skin made everything even wilder.

Alcohol flowed, bodies tempted, and the heat in the air kept rising.

Thora had no interest in that kind of revelry. She turned and walked away.

Ashley smiled as she watched Thora’s retreating figure, gently swirling the red wine in her glass.

The Bible said that light shone in the darkness, and the darkness didn’t accept it.

Because light pierced the dark.

When darkness longed to embrace the light, the light drove it away.

Thora was that light.

She was dazzling, sharp enough to tear through all darkness, making the shadows lurking in corners both

hate and crave it.

But if darkness came close, it got shoved back without mercy.

Ashley couldn’t help but recall a slum in a distant empire.

Children trembling as they hid inside rotting, foul-smelling crates, rats and roaches skittering everywhere.
