Chapter 86 Darius Got Jealous
Darius’s POV:
As soon as I walked out of the ward, I heard Thora shouting in anger from inside.

I couldn’t help but laugh softly, rubbing my fingertips together-the feel of her cheek still lingered there, soft and warm, smoother than silk.
No doubt about it-the girl I liked was perfect, right down to her skin.
Then I heard some noise behind me.
When I turned, I saw a few guys walking into Thora’s ward.
“Who are they?” I asked Carl, frowning.
He looked over and said politely, “Alpha, they’re Ms. Green’s classmates. Her close friends.”
Close friends?
A strange jealousy rose inside me.
“Don’t they know patients need rest?”
Carl coughed softly and quickly understood. “You’re right, Alpha. I’ll ask them to leave so Ms. Green can
rest.”
He turned and hurried back to take care of it.
I kept walking, but my thoughts stayed with Thora.
That sweet, clueless girl was just too easy to like. Leave her alone too long, and someone might try to steal her away.
Looks like I need to find a way to lock our bond down for good.
Thora’s POV:
I’ve been staying in the military hospital for two days now.
Honestly, my body had already recovered. I just wanted a quiet place and an excuse to avoid the mess that came after everything.
During these two days, my grandfather has visited me several times.
That’s when I remembered that he was also getting treatment at this same military hospital, just in a
different ward.
He came again today. Harvey and the others happened to show up, too.
It was the first time I’d seen them since the fight with the Greywolf.

I was asking about what happened and what people outside were saying when Grandpa suddenly started coughing badly.
“Grandpa, are you okay?”
I jumped out of bed, rubbed his back, and quietly used my mental energy to check his condition.
At the banquet, I had already noticed that his body was full of old injuries. His lungs were the worst, eaten away by the toxic wolf power. Now, even the small bit of wolf power left in him moved more slowly than before. Each breath he took sounded rough and heavy.
“I’m fine…”
He barely got the words out before I cut in. I looked at the werewolf guard behind him and said firmly. “Take Grandpa back to his room. Right now.”
Those guards were sent by headquarters to protect him and take care of him.
“Wait, Thora… ” Grandpa clearly wanted to stay a little longer.
But I didn’t move. “You’re not in good shape. You shouldn’t be walking around. Go rest. If you miss me. just call—I’ll come visit you.”
He looked into my eyes, saw I meant it, and finally gave a small nod. “Alright. I’ll go now.”
The guards pushed his wheelchair out of the ward.
Harvey and the others stood up straight, showing respect as he left.
I watched his back fade from sight, and my chest tightened.
His condition is getting worse.
Even this top military hospital in Starlance City—a place that could even fix the damaged high-level wolf spirit-still can’t fix Grandpa’s old wounds?
“Thora.” Felix called softly, worry in his eyes.
I patted his shoulder to calm him and sat down on the couch.
Felix sat beside me, and Harvey, Luke, and Ashton gathered around.
“Thora, thank goodness you’re fine. We thought you were badly hurt,” Harvey said.
After Grandpa left, everyone seemed to relax a little.
Ashton jumped in, “Yeah, I told them-Thora’s way too strong to get hurt that easily.”
Luke gave Ashton a blank look and shot back, “You wish. That was the top mercenary group in Chaules. Thora’s not made of steel-of course she could’ve been hurt. If you think it’s so easy, why don’t you go fight
them?”
Ashton pouted. “But she’s fine now, isn’t she?”
