The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 88

Chapter 88 I’ll Never Leave Felix Behind

Felix’s POV:

Watching Thora make that promise with Harvey and the others made my heart race.

I clenched my fists, wanting to speak up, to join in, but my throat felt heavy. I couldn’t get a single word out.

Harvey can fight multiple fully awakened adult werewolves at once. Ashton’s battle strategies were even sharper than the academy instructors. Luke’s hacking skills were so advanced that even the Astralis Empire respected them.

And me?

I’ve awakened my wolf spirit through hard work, and my combat ability is A-rank. But compared to them, my skills barely counted for anything.

That thought weighed on me like a stone.

I want to join the army with Thora, too.

But with what I’ve got, would I just slow them down?

Thora told Harvey and the others to watch over Shirley first, and only after that did they leave.

When it was just the two of us left in the ward, I spoke quietly, “Thora, when are you going home?”

“Home?” Her voice was flat, without a hint of emotion. “Felix, do you really think that place still counts as our home?”

I frowned without realizing it and nervously called out, “Thora…

་་

The sister who used to keep her mouth shut and take insults without fighting back is gone. Now, she seemed to shine so brightly that I had to lift my chin to see her clearly.

I’m scared I’ll never keep up with her, that she’ll leave me behind.

The only things holding us together now are blood-and the Greens.

“By the way, how are the Greens?” Thora asked suddenly.

I answered right away. “Dad came back yesterday. He only asked about your injury during the riot, nothing else. Hazel got scared and ran home crying to Dad and that woman, saying you tried to hurt her. She’s been hiding in her room for two days. But when she looks at me, all I see is blame. I’m worried if you go back, she’ll cause trouble again.”

Thora only sneered. “Since when does a tiger get scared of a mouse?”

I blinked, then couldn’t help but laugh.

That’s right. With how strong Thora is now, why would she fear Hazel?

Hazel might be a pureblood werewolf with an awakened wolf spirit, but Thora can fight mercenaries head-

  1. Hazel didn’t even come close.

“I’m heading back tomorrow,” Thora said.

“Okay. I’ll go home first and clean up,” I said, already heading for the door.

“Felix.” Thora’s voice stopped me.

I turned, confused. She wasn’t looking at me—she was just standing by the window, stretching.

Sunlight spilled over her, casting a long shadow behind her.

After a moment, she turned around to face me. In that light, her calm, perfect features shone like they were glowing, and my heart skipped a beat.

“Thora,” I said softly.

She said, “You’re my brother. You’ll always have the right to stand beside me.”

She paused, then her voice was strong and certain. “I know how hard you’ve worked. I know your school grades. But it’s still not enough. Show them what you can do. Give it everything you’ve got. Show them, as my brother, you’re someone with real strength!”

It still sounded like an order, but I loved hearing it.

I tried to keep my excitement down, but I couldn’t stop smiling. I shouted like I was giving a report. “Got it!”

Then I just couldn’t hold back—I ran over and threw my arms around her shoulders in a quick hug, then turned and bolted out the door, my face burning red.

Thora’s POV:

I only stopped myself from kicking Felix because he jumped at me so fast.

He was looking down, so I threw a few encouraging words his way. Don’t know why he got so worked up.

But I really meant it.

I’ll never leave him behind.

Right now, though, Felix isn’t ready. His wolf power and combat skills aren’t strong enough to fight alongside me in the military.

Amie’s asleep again, but I can sense she won’t be asleep for long.

And as for me, I’ll keep getting stronger and keep improving.

If he wants to keep up with me, he’ll have to go all out.

After finishing my stretches, my eyes landed on a medical report on the table.

I hadn’t noticed it before. Now I realized it had all the data from my last body scan.

Yereah must have left it behind when he went out.
