Chapter 93 Investigating Diane’s Death
Thora’s POV:
After I got back to my room, I just lay down to rest.
Finished
These past couple of days in the hospital were supposed to be for resting, but I hadn’t had a single quiet
moment.
People kept coming into the ward like I was some kind of celebrity.
Unfortunately, my little break didn’t last long. There was a knock at the door.
“Ms. Thora, Mr. Felix ordered some soup for you. Should I bring it in now?” It was Judy Carroll, the Omega housekeeper.
“Come in.”
I sat up and answered. I was actually hungry.
Judy opened the door, set a bowl of soup on the table, and turned to leave.
“Judy,” I called out to stop her.
“Do you need anything else, Ms. Thora?” she asked.
I looked at her and said, “If I’m not wrong, you’ve been working for the Greens for nearly twenty years, haven’t you?”
“Yes, Ms. Thora. I even saw you being born,” she answered.
I gave a small smile. “So that means you’ve been in this house longer than I have.
“Do you remember the day my mom was attacked by rogues? Why did she go out alone that day?”
I studied her face as I asked.
The day Diane had the accident, the original Thora was just over a year old-no memories, no real details.
Judy froze, clearly surprised by my question.
“I… don’t really remember. Mrs. Green hardly ever went out alone. But that day, for some reason, she just left without saying anything. Didn’t even take a bodyguard,” she said, trying to recall.
I stared at her, my eyes turning cold and empty. “Judy, look at me.”
I focused all my mental energy until a pale blue swirl appeared in my eyes. Her gaze met mine-and went blank in just a few seconds.
“Fifteen years ago, the day my mom was attacked by rogues, why did she go out alone? Do you remember?” I asked again.
Judy stared ahead, her expression empty and far away.

Chapter 93 Investigating Diane’s Death
After a moment, she spoke slowly and like a machine.
“That day… I think Mrs. Green got a phone call, then rushed out. Didn’t have time to tell anyone.”
Finished
I furrowed my brows and pushed further. “Did Norman already have an affair with Laurel before Diane died?”
There was no need to dig through files. Hazel, being only five months younger than Felix, said it all. Norman bonded with Laurel one month after Diane died, and Hazel was born four months later.
Werewolf pregnancies take about the same time as humans. That meant Norman was already seeing Laurel and had gotten her pregnant before Diane died.
Judy nodded slowly, like a robot. “Yes. While Mrs. Green was pregnant with Ms. Thora, Mr. Green often went out to meet her in secret.”
My eyes narrowed, sharp and dangerous.
I hadn’t expected them to be sneaking around that early, behind my mother’s back.
I snapped my fingers.
Judy suddenly stiffened, then her eyes cleared, as if she had completely forgotten what had just happened.
“Ms. Thora, do you need anything else?” she asked.
I stood up and walked to the soup. “No, that’s all. You can go.”
“Alright.” Judy closed the door and left.
In my previous life, when I commanded battles in the apocalypse, I interrogated plenty of enemies. Hypnosis was a must-have skill. Dealing with an ordinary Omega werewolf was nothing.
I sipped the soup and thought for a moment.
Judy’s answers matched what I had already suspected.
Diane had been killed.
The video shown to the public made it look like a group of rogues suddenly went crazy and attacked her. But the clip Luke got from the Werewolf Community Security Bureau had too many gaps-it was a staged attack.
Whether Laurel did it or not, someone more powerful was behind it.
Otherwise, with both of my grandfathers involved, there’s no way someone like Laurel, with her simple background, could have pulled it off.
So who really planned Diane’s death? And why did it happen?
That’s the real question.
Could it be the Greens were hiding some secrets?
